I hated (fill-in-the-blank) as a kid and either still do or like it now.

That is rather odd. Cream in coffee too?

Are you insinuating that I might be abnormal? :screwy

No. I love coffee, but I drink it black.

I don't think it's going to work out between us, Chris. Stop calling me. And no more sexting, either.

:rofl Oh noes!

I just remembered that when I was a small child I actually hated hamburgers and mashed potatoes. Love both now.

Humans are the ONLY animal that drinks the milk of another mammal. It's the only mammal that as an adult drinks milk..

humans are the ONLY animal with the intelligence and ability to think about drinking the milk of another animal. put some baby kitties in with a nursing dog and they will drink dog's milk. My grandfather had a horse that foaled and died during birth. the newborn colt nursed from one of his cows. My adult cats will drink milk any and every chance they get.

so it's not like animals have some kind of inate aversion to drinking the milk of other animals...they just don't usually have the ability to get it without human intervention/assistance.

I agree about chitlins 10000000%

Most mammals stop producing lactase as they enter adulthood. Many cats are actually lactose intolerant.

so are many humans

Not this human! We need milk for calcium, especially women. You guys don't think I'm going to drink human breast milk do you? :lamo

Well, we can drink milk for calcium. We don't need it for calcium.

It's pretty much the best and easiest way to get your calcium. Calcium supplements have some unpleasant side effects for some people which cow's milk does not. There's absolutely nothing wrong with drinking cow's milk or goat's milk for that matter. People have been doing so since forever.

I agree it's probably the easiest. I wasn't talking about supplements though. For example, collard greens have about 33% of your daily value of calcium in one cup of cooked greens. Blackstrap molasses has about 40% per 2 Tbsp serving. Tofu has up to about 40% per 4 ounce serving. Anyways, all I'm saying is that we don't need it.

LOL! Three foods I NEVER eat and don't care for. I'll stick with milk thanks! Cheese and yogurt are good too. I pretty much like basically any dairy products, and I'm thin so I'm not too worried about the "fat" aspect.

I didn't say you had to eat them. I was just correcting the claim about needing milk for calcium.

Brussel sprouts I tried and hated them as a child and six decade later I tried abnd hated them again They are the known cause of the rise of Hitler, the Great Depression, The Kansas Dust Bowl, locusts, bats, teenage acne and Judge Judy.

I don't drink it because I have to but because I want to and it has benefits as well. .

Peter La Fleur: [after Patches hits Justin in the face with a wrench] Yeah, uh, Patches... are you sure that this is completely necessary?

Patches O'Houlihan: Necessary? Is it necessary for me to drink my own urine?

Peter La Fleur: Probably not.

Patches O'Houlihan: No, but I do it anyway because it's sterile and I like the taste.

Peter La Fleur: ...Okay.

Well, of course I eat and drink other things too! I just like milk and drink a lot of it. I don't drink it because I have to but because I want to and it has benefits as well. I think 2% is the best.
