And again ultra high taxes have contributed to the super high cost of living in many blue states. Wages follow suit over time.

Give you an example, a big example. Average Amazon salary in New York is 30,000 dollar higher than in Florida.

TD bank tellers make about 8 thousand a year more.

McDonald’s tellers make more in New York, why? Flipping a burger different over there? It’s cost of living which has forced higher salaries. Which is what has New York as a donor state normally.

Red states generally have a much lower cost of living which helps keep wages down and federal contributions follow suit.

Red states are also still filled with plenty of blue constituents which use more federal resources. Liberals are more likely to use welfare than republicans. So much of our federal government assistance is used by democrats within our state.

Plenty of cons in blue states. A lot more poor in red states because repuke scumbags who run the show could give a ****. 75 billion for ice though. Where the hell is all that money going. Florida is becoming a nightmare. Hurricanes are getting worse and more frequent. Insurance is out of control if you can even get it. Those people in the older condos and their capital contribution costs are totally screwed. Can't sell either. Well, maybe for a huge loss. No longer the cheap home paradise.

Cons don’t suck up federal welfare. Hurricane frequency and severity have nothing to do with how blue or red run their states. I bet they count federal emergency money (like hurricane recovery money) going to a state in that total we are discussing however. Insurance is out of control but why? We have massive insurance fraud. Get in a car wreck with zero injuries and the pieces of shit sue anyway. A million lawyers. An injury attorney ad on every bus stop or jumbo street sign. Then we had homeowner insurance fraud. The sinkhole scam. Ballooned premiums bad. Ad the threat of hurricanes and the cost of building materials after Biden’s inflation and yes we have a problem.

The condo issue arose after the collapse of one of them. They put in place mandates that are far too costly. Folks are screwed right now. It is a bad situation. Do nothing and risk another collapse and mass death event. Fix the problems to fast and everyone goes broke. Definitely sucks.

Our cheap home paradise was destroyed by your people bud. Blue state, particularly New York, exodus during Covid caused our problem. We had bidding wars on homes because new Yorkers sold out and moved here. Our low prices allowed them to offer more in an effort to win the bidding war. Prices ballooned almost overnight. A family friend in the construction business remodeled a kitchen and bath on a home that was for sale. The home was put on the market once finished. It was listed for 150 and sold for 210. There is no realtor that far off as you know. Generally they are off in the other direction and have to lower prices. So the high demand from folks with deep pockets from blue states caused it.

Begs the question of why the mass demand in this state if we are so shitty as you claim? Running from blue state nirvana lol according to you. Running right to a third world shithole lol. Our state is excellent in most areas which is why your people keep coming.

I'm not saying it's easy to compete under those conditions... but that's the whole point. You don't get a strong economy by taking it easy. I look at it this way - economies are like sailboats. They're either built for speed or for comfort. If you want a strong and competitive economy, it's got to be uncomfortable. You've got to always operate on the edge of failure. It's what forces you to be versatile, to innovate and adapt to changing conditions. Once you start going protectionist and shielding your businesses from foreign competition, you loose that edge.

You talk about free market forces, but at the same time you're arguing for protectionist policies that only move us away from those same free market forces. You can't have it both ways.
