1) don’t insist science is lies, and/or a vast conspiracy against religion
2) don’t be condescending
3) don’t be childish
4) don’t be sanctimonious
5) don’t threaten
6) don’t try to frighten people
7) don’t use your religion like a hammer

Best thing for theists to do is NOT argue at all.
Accept and respect the choices everyone else makes.

Did somebody convince you what to believe?
Or did you come to your own conclusions all by yourself?

If you came to your own conclusions without outside influences, then offered that same freedom to others.

To most effectively argue theism, don’t argue it, just live it and provide a stellar example of peaceful, respectful, and loving existence.

Provide verifiable empirical evidence for a god.

Full stop. That’s all they have to do.

Then you wouldn’t be able to post nonsense like this.

Why should “faith” be accepted for anything?
Because you are free to believe whatever you want.

I have faith that there’s life somewhere else in our universe besides Earth.
Why can’t that be “acceptable”?

You have faith, or you have statistical probability based on our current evidence?

If you have evidence, you don’t need faith. Faith is belief without evidence.

But you take all the fun out of it!

See there is faith and there is knowing.

These morons think all faith is blind faith.

It's only so much fun because I was an atheist until God proved how foolish I was to me. I didn't even have to die more than once or burn in a Hell other than the one of my own making.

Sure my relationship with the father is complex, but it's personal, that's what atheist never get. They think they are clever demanding proof of God, when the truth is right there in their own personal lives, they are just too blind to see it.

How do you know your “personal relationship” isn’t some kind of delusion?

Muslims claim to have personal relationships with their god. How do you know they are wrong and you are right?

Then you wouldn’t be able to post nonsense like this.
Explain exactly and specifically what is “nonsense” about it?

Do you suggest it’s perfectly reasonable to be condescending and childish when arguing for theism?

but i do like this kid, he gives you Science proving God....

well sure. the proof for God is all around..........IF you wanna see it.

blessings.

I already told you friend, you speak with many dead people?

what does dead people have to do with how God helped you?

what does dead people have to do with how God helped you?
I died once and made it all the way to the other side, yet here I am, in the flesh, or so to speak.

Who holds the keys to life and death but God my friend?

Other than Jesus and the God of Abraham, who then could bring me back here to speak with you?

I surely didn't bring myself back here, I was perfectly happy to be out of this place, but while David was done with Earth, God was not done with David. So read your old testament and see when God will be done with David, it's right there in Ezekiel if you need a hint and don't want to dig through the whole thing.

How do you know your near death experience actually happened? When Muslims have near death experiences, they go to their heaven and meet Allah. The same is true of every other religion out there: the near death experiences of their members mirror their religious cosmology.

Do you accept that Islam is true because of the near death experiences of Muslims?

got it, you died and God brought you back to life.

well amen, welcome aboard. perhaps here some more of this some time.

blessings.

I liked the OP, seemed reasonable rather than arrogant, sensible rather than insulting. But I have a feeling things will be going downhill from that pretty quickly.

Muslims, last I checked, still pray to the God of Abraham.

And I did not have a near death experience, I had a death experience, and dad made me come back here to try and bring some sense you you fools, but that is a point of contention between he and I because unlike my brother Jesus, I don't walk on water, heal the blind, or raise Lazarus from the dead.

Anyway, I got to face this death thing one more time before I'm done here, and dad won't let me die until that day comes. Only dad, brother Jesus, and the other angels in heaven know the day or the hour, but I do know the place.

I'm not in that place right now, I'm waiting until dad sends me the "word", he says I'll know when the time is right, but I just pray it's soon, as I'm old and you people bore me repeating the some things and thinking each other are cleaver.

sometimes they do.

there are posts i have made that later i wish i could delete or edit better.

sometimes it takes me more than 20 minutes to see something could be better written or not written at all.

there are times i just write things and leave it on my desk un-posted and then delete.

And their version of the God of Abraham is not a triune God that is also Jesus. So do you believe the Muslim God is real because of the near death experiences of Muslims?

So you had full cessation of brain activity? Can you verify that in any way?

Are you claiming to be some kind of prophet?

interesting experience.

Atheists are into 'clever', but that isn't enuf to cut it.

God will call all of us christians home fairly soon in the Rapture, and let the unbelievers figure out how to fix all the problems.

they can't fix this place, but God will give them 7 years to try.

blessings.

Why are you so quick to blindly believe that experience actually happened?

You realize that Christians have been saying that the return of Jesus was right around the corner since the beginning of Christianity, yes? There's no reason to believe it is "fairly soon" now anymore than their was in the 7th century.

1. Don't tell me how to live my life or what to think or believe.

Your #7 is unintentionally funny. Here you are swinging an atheist hammer but telling people of faith not to use their religion as one. ;)

Like I say, you bore me asking the same leading questions.

God didn't really send me here to talk, he told me I need to stop trying to convince you people right from wrong, and to stop talking politics.

He sent me here to lead his army in the final battle between heaven and hell, here on Earth as you people call it.

I'm the Messiah ben Joseph, but just ben Joseph is fine for non-believers because it just means Son of Joseph, and Joseph was my fathers name here.

Way I've been told by the prophets, I die one final time in the battle of Armageddon, but that's really just a place in Israel where the battle takes place.

I lose my life, but win the war.

Later, not sure how long, I am resurrected by the Messiah ben David, but that is after this world ends and becomes the Kingdom of Heaven.
