Whereas Hillary blew off a number of campaign stops, aggressively courted young educated urban females, while actively snubbed a number of subgroups, such as white males, and rural/blue collar democrats.

And yes, Russia's interference helped push it over the edge.

I think you're confused about social media ad buying.
We're not talking about thirty-five hundred "impressions" (which would equal 3500 pairs of eyeballs) we are talking about 3500 ad purchases.
Facebook sells ad campaign buys, so when you "buy" advertising on Facebook, you can choose the length of your campaign and the number of "impressions".
For instance, if I want to make an ad buy on Facebook, I can buy a single ad placement for one day for five bucks or I can buy twenty thousand unique ads rotated for a six month duration, or as many as I want.
Then I can do it again.

So the Russians made about 3500 purchases but we haven't heard how many unique impressions that each one of those buys worked out to or for how long.

Trump supporters are either outright racists, or they are willing to support racism for political expediency. I would suggest that the number of outright racists far outnumbers the group who support racism for political expediency, the number of people who still believe the Birther nonsense highlights that.

Durango's Canyon made something like 15-20 "ad buys" with the two local TV stations in the area, which totaled something like thirty airings of that ad every day on each station, so each individual airing of the ad was NOT an ad buy, the total PACKAGE was the ad buy.

I actually produced a 30 second commercial for our rodeo company back in 2009. I didn't do the voice over but I hired a guy to do it for me and produced the entire shot for the advertising agency. I thought I did a pretty good job.
