Honestly, keep saying you aren't stuck in a cult hivemind while defending Dear Leader for taking top secret/nuclear documents! Absolutely sickening.

If you libs/leftists aren't subbed to Beau of the Fifth Column on YT I strongly recommend it. Short and to the point videos. He's a deep thinker and a quick wit.

Anyways, here are a few of his thoughts on the news, particularly about the Top Secret SCI-designated documents:

"[TS/SCI documents] are so secret they can only be viewed in a room specifically designed to protect secrets."

"[Some say], 'If I did this they would've already arrested me' No, if you did this you'd be in a basement somewhere being interrogated until you talked, and they would not hold anything back."

"Some say], 'I'd be looking at 10-20.' No, if you took SCI documents, had the opportunity to return them, elected not to, and went about your day probably meeting with foreign nationals, no you wouldn't be looking at 10-20. 10-20 would be what the groundskeeper tells your family when they go to visit you. Row 10, Plot 20."

"If you choose to stand beside this man politically after this, you never get to talk about supporting the troops again because you are putting them at risk. You never get to talk about wanting a strong country again, because you're weakening it. You never get to talk about how diversity training is weakening the military, because nothing weakens it more than not being able to protect its secrets."

Oh, no doubt the average citizen would be ****ed. But let's get real, ex-presidents are above the law for the most part, like it or not (I don't like).

I definitely don't expect an ex-president to get the same treatment as an average citizen. But I should expect, at the very least, to not see nearly half the country play down his actions or resort to whataboutisms over an opposition party.

Hillary wasn’t and she had same level classified docs.

We don't know yet how the upper level GOP representatives like Ted Cruz or Rick Scott (who both made outlandish statements) will react. But it's a safe bet that most of the MAGA crowd, the Republican base, will believe this is a frame up, planted evidence, unjustified raid, etc. Trump could have an actual nuclear bomb and they wouldn't care. They would want him to detonate it in California or New York. There is little hope for those folks.

Wow. Hundreds of thousands of people listen to a delusional person on YouTube (assuming that OP's summation of the video is accurate).

Hillary wasn’t and she had same level classified docs.
None of the statutes listed in the warrant had anything to do with possession of classified docs so not sure why you bothered with this.

Hillary wasn’t and she had same level classified docs.

You keep bitching about Hillary. Why aren't you bitching about the Bush Administration's emails deleted on private servers? Why aren't you bitching about the Trump Administration's use of private servers? Or Trump, himself, refusing to use a secure phone?

Should Hillary have been investigated for using a private server? Absolutely. But so should members of the other administrations (who you conveniently fail to mention). And even if she was the only one to use a private server, we are talking about a former president taking TS/SCI documents and storing them in an unsecured room in his resort. There is no comparison. You fail in your whataboutism.

Now move along elsewhere with the concern trolling.

Ah, Beau the accelerationist, who doesn't want to ban Ar 15s so that he can tell people how to collapse the government and then sell life straws to those who are fearful. He's amazing.

Anyone wanting to argue how this mishandling of classified documents puts troops at risk, should remember how trump responded to reports of Putin funding payments to US enemies who killed US soldiers.

Ah, yes, the fascist calls others delusional. Priceless.

Got proof Beau is an accelerationist?

He literally posted a video last month with "accelerationist" in the title. It was a walkthrough of how many supplies one needs to survive the downfall of society, dog whistled as "hey guys, whatever you do, don't do this!!" *wink*

That, coupled with his support of keeping AR 15s legal kinda tells one all they need to know. (Along with the title of his channel, and his videos - he's not hiding anything, he is literally laying it out.)

If the things are not identical
should they be treated identically?

What was the sentence for Reality Winner who had only one(?) document iirc?

So using the word 'accelerationist' makes one an accelerationist? I know he's a bit of a prepper, but being a prepper doesn't make you an accelerationist.

Post the video. Show us some damned context.

Black Panthers literally marched down the streets with semi-autos. Beau is a left-anarchist and, in case you didn't realize it, leftists tend to be more pro-gun than liberals and soc-dems.

Good video but MAGA would never watch this.

"The country deserves a thorough and immediate explanation of what led to the events of Monday," McConnell said in a statement. "Attorney General Garland and the Department of Justice should already have provided answers to the American people and must do so immediately."
Be careful what you wish for!

With respect to what was bound to happen, particularly after Garland's statement on Thursday, many Republicans are acting like fools.

ABC reports, "Congressional Republicans were quick to pan Merrick Garland's Thursday remarks on the FBI search of Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago -- calling the attorney general's comments insufficient and insisting the Justice Department release more information behind the unprecedented raid even as Garland said he wants the search warrant unsealed.

"But GOP lawmakers said the Justice Department's motion to unseal parts of the warrant would not cut it, demanding that more information behind the search's genesis was needed given the gravity of the operation at a former president's home."

The GOP lawmakers got their wish. Today, their comments are laughable.

The Senate Intelligence Committee on Tuesday reaffirmed its support for the U.S. intelligence community’s conclusion that the Russian government interfered in the 2016 presidential election with the goal of putting Donald Trump in the Oval Office.https://www.politico.com/news/2020/...rms-russia-aimed-to-help-trump-in-2016-198171

The seized documents were part of an inquiry into violation of the Espionage Act and two other laws.

The Times reports, "A list of documents removed from former President Donald J. Trump’s Florida residence, Mar-a-Lago, includes materials marked as top secret and meant to be viewed only in secure government facilities, according to a copy of the warrant obtained by The New York Times.

"Federal agents who executed the warrant did so to investigate potential crimes associated with violations of the Espionage Act, which outlaws the unauthorized retention of national security information that could harm the United States or aid a foreign adversary; a federal law that makes it a crime to destroy or conceal a document to obstruct a government investigation; and another statute associated with unlawful removal of government materials.

"Of the three criminal laws cited in the search warrant, one stood out as raising new questions: Section 1519 of Title 18 of the United States Code. Section 1519 is an obstruction law. It applies to document crimes undertaken “with the intent to impede, obstruct, or influence the investigation or proper administration of any matter” within the jurisdiction of federal departments or agencies. That raises the question: What do investigators suspect that Trump, by hoarding the documents, was trying to impede?"

A better question is, what was Trump going to do with the set of documents marked as “TS/SCI documents,” which refers to “top secret/sensitive compartmented information?”
