It is a small, short term bribe that ignores the larger damage the bill will do.
Will that satisfy a rube? Probably.

it made permanent tax cuts - so you're factually wrong

and vs what Democrats do which is raise my taxes

I'll take it, THANK YOU DONALD TRUMP and REPUBLICANS

No, it isn’t. It’s a stalling tactic conservatives on this forum use to deflect from their inability to make cogent arguments in the era of Trump.

so you don't have a link

can we be honest? you're repeating what you read/heard on liberal news media

isn't that the truth ?

but you have assets

you are who you're talking about - see?
Given that I’ve already assessed, given counterpoints to your talking points and dismissed them, what are you trying to accomplish by repeating yourself?

Because I’m not groveling over potentially saving 2K while the GOP steals healthcare and infrastructure from teh country? LOLOLOL

The "Big, Beautiful Bill," officially titled the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, includes provisions that make some tax cuts from the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act permanent

and vs what Democrats do which is raise my taxes

I'll take it, THANK YOU DONALD TRUMP and REPUBLICANS
And the Trump 2017 tax cuts gave little to average Americans.
In my case the 2017 Trump cuts added a whopping $11 per check, so about $286 a year in my pocket.
Like I said a small time bribe to ignore the huge tax cuts again for the wealth and to ignore the long term damage the Big Bullshit Bill is going to do.
If you're happy with a cheap bribe then be happy.

I did pretty good back then too

again .... its amazing to me how liberals HATE giving working class American's tax breaks ..... I think its because so many have wealth and they don't understand how tough it is to make ends meet when you're making low wages

I made this post on another site where the discuss turned into Republicans promoting a bill that will end their political careers:

Are some of you saying that voters in the midterm will vote against a party and president who:
  • Are you thinking that people who make tips will vote against the president who enabled them to keep those tips without taxes?
  • Are some of you thinking that people who work overtime will vote against the president who enabled them to make that money and not be penalized with higher taxes?
  • Are some of you thinking that senior citizens will vote against someone who will give them a $4,000 deduction on their Social Security payment? This one might be a problem since Trump ran on discontinuing taxes on Social Security, but still, this deduction is something that Democrats did not give them.
  • Are some of you saying that voters who get the SALT benefit will vote against someone who raised their SALT benefit from $10,000 to $30,000?
  • Are some of you thinking that people will be upset that some people who get food assistance have to do something to earn that assistance? (Not me!) Note -- The SNAP program will become more dependent upon states to fund.
  • Are some of you saying that the general public will be upset that funding for Planned Parenthood, NPR and PBS will be cut? Not the people I know.
  • Are you saying that Americans will be upset that the government will establish a $1,000 investment contribution for children?
  • Are some of you saying that Americans are upset with the deportations of criminals?
  • Are some of you saying that Americans will be upset with a 21% tax on university endowments to help fund student loans?

I am thinking that when the propaganda lies of the left subside as this legislation is enacted, Americans in general are really going to like Trump and the Republican Party.

then stop making claims you can't back up
No way of knowing that you earn a living, let alone will receive tax relief. I guess it’s all just a guessing game. :(

We’re saying Americans will be upset at the millions who lose healthcare and the shortfalls in various services to pay for another gigantic tax cut that corporations and the wealthy specifically don’t use to re-invest in companies and employees. The 2017 tax cut was used mostly for stock buybacks. I think that’s what we believe Americans will be upset about. Republicans seem to agree with us because they’ve hidden the worst effects of the bill until after the midterms.

What are the worst effects?

Article on Trump's first tax cuts:

IRS data proves Trump tax cuts benefited middle, working-class Americans most

https://thehill.com/opinion/finance...enefited-middle-working-class-americans-most/

but I am getting $2400 less taxed

many American's will and more - this isn't costing me anything. How do you figure its "costing" every single American a "fortune" ?
By raisong the debt, for one. And cutting programs that cost but save money in the long run.

It is the epitome of penny wise and pound foolish.

What are the worst effects?
Loss of healthcare, loss of various services as the fed pulls money to pay for this massive transfer of wealth from Americans to the wealthiest. We’re also heading into a recession. A recession plus cutting safety nets will equal lots of problems for the Trump regime.

We already have a record with Trump and economics, he’s not good at the job. He inherited a good economy and ran it into the ground last time. Exact same is happening this time.

LOL
$286 for the year is 'pretty good' in your eyes?
It seems you are a cheap bribe to ignore the real damage.
The 2017 Trump tax cut was a joke and this new Big Bullshit Big is that on steroids.
Do I expect the Trump minions to praise it blindly?
Of course, that is what minions do.

I'm 24x7x365 on-call with few exceptions (PTO)

per this calculator I'll get in my pockets around $2400 extra every year

THANK YOU TRUMP AND GOP !!!
It isn't going to happen.

Stop believing the lies.

Only those who are not qualified to receive healthcare will lose care. I pointed out that the middle class will benefit the most. Also, I don't believe the recession talk and believe it to be scare tactics. In fact, I believe we will go through just the opposite.

Per a recession, The Hill has an article that says just the opposite and that a recession will happen if the Big Beautiful Bill is not passed.

https://thehill.com/business/537251...f-recession-if-big-beautiful-bill-is-delayed/

The bill would specifically force states to shoulder at least 5% of SNAP benefit costs starting in 2028
Additionally, the bill would tighten eligibility, raising the work requirement age from 54 to 64 and forcing parents with children older than 6 to meet the work requirements.

So in other words, IF the States don't meet the cost sharing and IF the people don't want to do anything then they'll be impacted. Is that right ?

The SNAP cuts total an estimated $230 billion over 10 years. Republicans claim the cuts would target "waste, fraud, and abuse" in the entitlement programs and would save hundreds of billions of dollars over the next decade

Where are the savings going?

"potentially"

Right. Like if you jump off a building, gravity will kick in and you're potentially going to hit the ground.

I love the liberal media "possibly" "estimated" "potentially" " maybe" "predicted" "projected" ........ all fear mongering words

You mean people do the math and come up with very likely outcomes, rather than gut instinct?

because I work and earn it

What entity provides your employer the ability the necessities to even exist? Do you think your employer could survive in the desert without roads or electricity or underground plumbing, without the means to do business? Your employer needs government more than government needs your employer.

It isn't going to happen.

Stop believing the lies.

Someone may get $2400 in a year, but the actual cost they're paying for that $2400 could be many times that. It's like being offered $20 today in exchange for $100 a week from now. On the bright side, you get the $20. On the backend you lose a lot more.

Only those who are not qualified to receive healthcare will lose care.

Yeah. That is the problem that we have. That is why so many of us are attacking the bill, i.e. that it is disqualifying so many people from receiving Medicaid.

But again, as tens of thousands of people die annually as a result of losing their coverage and being unable to afford medical care, it will only make Medicare For All not only more politically viable but necessary.

That wasn't my point. My point was that if the Democrats won't agree to cut funding to PBS and NPR, which (as you say) is a relatively PALTRY sum - and that they can surely survive without - then what spending cuts would they agree with? Clearly after this bill passes, they need to go to work on cutting spending. But as I said before, I'm not going to hold my breath.
Cutting spending where? And to what affect?

The Trumpers hope to cut medicaid. Kiss rural hospitals goodbye. This will affect the cost of H.C. for everyone.
They boast that they have succeeded in forcing NATO nations to increase their defense spending. One would think that would allow the U.S. to spend less on defense. But NO, Rs plan to spend more.
DOGE has already gutted so many programs that are necessary and to the states, that the result will be much more pressure to raise taxes at the state level.

meh, irrelevant

the national debt was run up for 8 years with Obama, 4 years with Trump then 4 more years with Biden

can we all agree national debt doesn't matter anymore ?
You want to argue that a trillion in interest payments does not matter? That interest rates don't matter?
Dang. High Schools really should teach financial literacy.

good question

Biden has nothing to do with this, please

sounds very much like a continuation of the last 20 years doesn't it ?
But, but but, something. Waaaa! Sounds like repuke bullshit.
