Buy moar gunz again! How many times can the manufacturers rattle the cages of their customers to get another line of suckers outside the stores on Monday?

As many times as Liberals make statements supporting stricter gun laws and bans. So long as Liberals keep pointing at guns being the problem people will continue to buy more firearms.

the bannerrhoid movement and its politicians in office and its toadies in the press all cause massive numbers of firearms to be bought-firearms that normally would not be sold but for the screams for gun bans. One local shop/range figures if Hillary wins, there will be a rush on AR style rifles so they have a stack of completed lower receivers 8 feet high

the BM members pretend ignorance at what happened in 1994. Magazines that we competitive shooters use, that cost us 15-25 dollars in 1993 were over 100 dollars after new ones made after september 1994 could not be sold to citizens who weren't government employees. of course this stupid law didn't stop crime but it made things harder on say new OPEN class USPSA shooters who scrambled to get the ten magazines you need to run in that division. The 15 shot Para-ord magazines I used in my Craig-built limited gun went from 35 to 125 a magazine. Even basic 17 round GLOCK magazines went from 15 to 100 dollars as a result of that stupid law. And Hillary says she wants that law to be reinstated and made permanent. So lots of people have been buying up normal capacity magazines and AR 15s and other similar weapons

Re: How many gun owners on this board are taking steps to based on the upcoming elect

no, she is going to appoint justices to the USSC who will likely uphold the crap states like California and Md and CT are passing by claiming those bans on normal magazines etc are not "violations of McDonald v Chicago. so her first goal is to help left wing states screw over gun owners. then after a bunch of states have done that, she might urge her allies in congress to pass another federal gun ban that she will claim should be held constitutional based on the rulings pertaining to state cases.

the danger of the LB trying to pass a federal gun law early is the beating her party took in 1994

All with the help of those assholes Michael Bloomberg and Geo. Soros.

While Trump is endorsed by the NRA, I don't think he's exactly a hard core second amendment advocate. And Hillary of course, probably even more hateful of the NRA and gun owners then Obama or her husband. So if you are a serious gun owner, are you taking steps to guard against the problems which may occur after the election

I'm set for life...thanks for asking.

Other. I used to be a gun owner. We sold them when my wife was pregnant with our first son 20 years ago.

Safe answer....;)

My Dad sold his '41 Buick Limousin when I came along, but he and Mom were barely getting by and had good reason.

I had many children and never sacrificed any possessions because of them. I'm tight with a buck, but always prepare way ahead, for hard times.
I learned over 40 years ago from Enzo Ferrari. When he quit Alfa Romeo and wanted to start his own company, the banks wouldn't give him a loan. So, he opened his own bank.
I paid tribute to him when I visited the factory in '99.

I guess I can relate to the gun guys and their freak outs. It's about how I would feel if someone became president who spoke out against cycling, and swore he'd put an end to funding for bike paths and lanes. So, I empathize with you all on this. But, I seriously doubt Hillary will be able to do a damn thing about guns, except maybe nominate a few anti-gun judges. We'll see.

Here is what she wants to do

appoint justices who will overturn or ignore Heller/McDonald

Democrats in anti gun states will ban stuff-like magazine fed semi auto rifles. Gun owners will appeal and the anti gun justices will pretend that those bans don't violate McDonald. This will empower other anti rights coalition cities or states to ban stuff

when A bunch of Democrat run states/or cities have passed bans, Hillary will try to get congress to pass a federal ban claiming that because the weapons in question have been banned in many states or cities, they are "not in common use" or they are (due to being banned) 'unusually dangerous' and then hope her Democrat majority on the Supremes claims Heller doesn't apply

She's not going to be president for 20 years. Hell, she'll be lucky to get a second term.

I doubt she'll get judges to overturn Heller. And, if she can get some judges to uphold state's rights, then...well, funny how that works.

states don't have rights but powers

and under incorporation through the 14th, there should be no difference-if it is improper for the federal government to do it-its improper for the states to do it

She won't be president for more than four years-if she wins. but her justices will probably be on the court for 30 or so

Well, lots of people had to deal with a president and SCOTUS they did not like. Learn to adapt like they did.

where do you get the idea I haven't learned to adapt? but the fact remains, if you are a gun owner and you are voting for Clinton, gun rights aren't that important to you. and American citizens should not have to "adapt" to scum bags who want to trample on our constitutional rights

I'm not worried right now. If it EVER got to the point where the government decided to confiscate guns from legal owners, then our rights have been violated and I wish them the best of luck when they come to my house. They'll need it

The main point is not that Hillary can do anything until January, assuming she wins and gets the senate. The point is-a Hillary win will cause people to rush to buy stuff even if the GOP holds the senate which will block anti gun nonsense. My main issue right now is stuff being hard to get because of a REACTION to a clinton win

I am more worried about the gradual conversion of 2A rights into mere state issued privileges as has been done with the right to carry a handgun (openly or concealed) in Texas. There is no need to take your gun(s) if they can make it illegal (a felony) for you to carry them (without renting prior state permission) - then they can just take you instead. The next step, IMHO, will be to pass "reasonable restrictions" to require a posting a bond (getting insurance?) to obtain state permission to buy/carry a gun.

Yea that would suck

Re: How many gun owners on this board are taking steps to based on the upcoming elect

No. THe objective is to make money off people who have gun fetishes.

Well at least one who knows the truth but is not doing anything to change it.

No your rights were violated when the first gun control law was passed and each and every law thereafter. It's like bitching somebody is stealing your car when they have already stolen half of it.

Consider yourself very special that is going to resist with five grunts sticking their rifles up your nose. Personally I'm tying not to be stupid enough to put it to the test. I figure prevention a much better option. I do realise that many more gung ho owners figure the fairy godmother is going to save their ass. All I can say take a long hard look at all those who have resisted in California or Louisiana during hurricane Katrina. Try and count them.

They don't have to do a thing, all they have to do is wait for the fear filled paranoid animators of metal and merchants of death to go on a crusade to pass more gun control laws to appease their paranoia.

Re: How many gun owners on this board are taking steps to based on the upcoming elect

Like what? Got any pointers?

Depends on what your interest is. Common sense says if you use extended magazines get them now. If you intend to buy an AR15 now might be a good time.

However it would be far more sensible to shut the door on gun control. It will be a lot more work but once done, what a pleasure. We can get crime fighting back on track and look forward to more safety and security.

Is it not prudent to do both?

What are you doing to "slam the door on gun control"?

Bump.

Re: How many gun owners on this board are taking steps to based on the upcoming elect

Probably if one expected gun control to succeed.

Count the posts where I give advice on what should be done and is not being done. Nothing will change until firearm owners buy into the fact they need to get off their bums and make the effort to save their rights. They all think they are saving guns now........ and buying more is enough.

Should I ask you that question?

Another winning well thought out response. You have a better idea, why not tell us.

It was abump to you, to which you had a non answer.

Do you really think you are going to change hearts and minds with a ****ty attitude?
