I just think he was unqualified to begin with. He's a decent public speaker, and has some education, some people organizing skills.... but nowhere near the qualities that is needed to be a good commander in chief or the FREAKING president of the United States of America..... maybe a president of some non-profit organization...

Good point. The GOP ran old fart geriatric candidates on the top of the 2008 and 2012 tickets. Just like the democrats seem poised to do in the 2016 race with Hollery Klinton.

They had a good candidate (IMO) in 2012, but blew it in the campaign.

It does seem likely that the Dems will run Hillary, even though she hasn't officially declared. She's been running for 14 years now, but still hasn't officially declared.

I have no idea who the Reps will run, or what sort of campaign they will wage.

Simply put, the community organizer in the worst president in history & gets worse by the day. Who are these people that still support him?

I think he is highly intelligent and has good intentions.

But i also think he is weak willed, dishonest in his statements, and generally speaking not realistic when it comes to finances.

I also think he believes the same thing most libs do. That if you give away enough money regardless of whether or not you have it, then you can buy elections. He is right about that

WASHINGTON -- While traveling recently, I’ve been asked the same question in Beijing, Auckland and Rome: “What happened to Barack Obama?”

This really is several questions: What happened to that fresh, idealistic guy? What happened to his power and popularity in the United States? Why doesn’t he dominate the political stage the way he once did? Why isn’t he as effective as we thought he would be?

I will never forget the deer in the headlights look when he couldn't understand that people weren't just thrilled with how he was handling things.

He's since learned to look angry rather than confused.

A mediocre president at best, I believe he's caused more damage to this country than good.

Disappointed.

Some of that disappointment stems from the decisions he's made, and not just with how the ship was running when he took control of the helm. His actions make me cautious of the future and his immediate successor. Executive authority has expanded exponentially, including great giant strides under President Obama. The next year will dictate the shape the ship is in when a new POTUS assumes command, and whether or not many of the troubling problems we face will either be legitimately explored or exacerbated more than what the predecessor accomplished.

That's a good article...insightful. But I'll dispute a couple things Mr. Fineman said:

Race. I think Obama's downfall here is that HE made race such a big deal.
