How do you post a poll? Yes, I am THAT stupid.

The title says it all. I hit Start a New Thread, checked the box for "Poll" and chose the number of options, but there's no place to enter poll information. Okay, tell me the secret that a ten-year-old already knows so I can feel even more stupid, and finally post my poll. When I hit "Preview Post", nothing is there except the title and the body of the post.

You're not stupid, let's start with that. You don't get to go to the poll options until after you hit the "post reply" button. So, make sure you check the poll box as you say, then actually post your OP, then you'll be taken to where you can compose your poll.

You're not stupid, let's start with that. You don't get to go to the poll options until after you hit the "post reply" button. So, make sure you check the poll box as you say, then actually post your OP, then you'll be taken to where you can compose your poll.
