How Do I Dump Some Ammo?

Well as a young man, used cars were all I could afford. You have been more fortunate.

I was querying how much ammo would be ?

There was a time I was looking to be a vintage SMLE in .303 British
But I was told that caliber was getting really hard to come by.
.303 British. $0.65 per a round. Not hard to get at all.

Of course, you can’t buy a gun unless you have a green card.

I'll take your word for it
I read that as British stocks dwindled, so .303 British became harder to find.

Which I do
And I used to have a Georgia Weapons Carry License.

I traded off a Schmidtt Rubin when I was a kid because of trouble finding anything to feed it with.

Like I said. try ammoseek.com, not Walmart.

Honestly, I don't believe you based on your lack of simple basic firearms knowledge.

For the longest, he didn't know what that particular license was called. I think he kept referring to it as a CCW.
Or maybe you showed a state issued CCW like the one the state of Georgia issued to me.

Be careful with that. The wife and I still call ours CCWs, which they were when we got them. Now they have been increased to general licenses to carry.

At the time this discussion took place, it was called a WCL.

I never think that "CCW" makes sense as an acronym anyway. Seems like it means Concealed Carry Weapon.

Yup. His "google-fu" has gotten better.

My FL is a "Concealed Weapon or Firearms License".
My VA is a "Non-Resident Concealed Handgun Permit".
My MD is just a "Handgun Permit".

Want to ake it more nuts? You can still get an FTL, but in Texas the law changed and its now legal to carry without one.

What does FTL stand for?

Some states don't require a concealed carry permit, but still issue them for purposes of those who might carry out of state.

I'm from Illinois. I don't think we reciprocate with anyone else's carry permits.

Fat Boy Pritzker doesn't want to recognize other states permits?

But we are told that guns should be regulated like cars and my driver's license is good in all 50 states plus the District of Columbia.

So people not expert in firearms, can't:

1. Have a weapons carry license
2. Buy a firearm

Next you'll say that all soldiers are firearms experts
I have news for you - they're not. Soldiers are generally not experts on firearms, they are usually on competent with the weapons they're trained on.

It's usually the other side that brings in the General who doesn't like the idea of civilians being armed with rifles he somehow got the idea are reserved just for the military. Entitled ****er that he is.

Well, you said you were in the Royal Army and you do prove you are not an expert on firearms repeatedly. So, I guess you are right about one thing after all.

No, I said I was in the British Army

No, I am not an expert on firearms - are you ?
Are you suggesting that soldiers generally ARE firearms experts. Because have news for you - they're not. Soldiers are generally only competent with the weapons they're trained on.

NRA Range Safety Officer
NRA Pistol Instructor
IDPA Safety Officer

I don’t do gunsmithing for a living but I don’t have to pay people to work on my guns.

So, I am as much an expert as most of the pro-2A folks on this board.

Just pointing out a deficiency in your knowledge - bit like if I called the US Army, the "Union Army"

How can you claim to know anything about firearms if you don't know that ?

So what ?

You seem to be saying that all professional soldier have firearms expertise
Are you saying that your firearms knowledge is typical of US soldiers ?

Well no-one on this side of the pond gives a shit if it is called the British Army or the Royal Army. The US beat it twice and saved it twice.

Well, you are the one who proclaims to be be an expert on the portability of shotguns.

Americans frequently don't care when they're wrong

And saved it when ?

The US Army got it's ass kicked in the war of 1812
Who burned the White House down again ?

Oh and the only war the USA fought, in the last 100 years, without the British Army to hold its hand, it lost.

As always, you seek deflection when you've nothing else

So can we assume, based on your refusal to "answer the bell", that you ***DO*** accept that soldiers are generally ***NOT*** firearms experts.

Isn't it amazing then, that a common anti-gun argument includes that soldiers are okay with firearms because of all their training and such? I mean...what of that General and his fully automatic semi automatic rifles that do such damage? There's a poster here who regularly trots that guy's tired ass out into the ring. But here you are saying they are not all that competent. Who's side you on anyway? 😆
