How bad is it California

Do you even realize how old some of your links are? One was 2008. But yet the CA population remains as high as ever. In fact its nearly 11.25% of the nation vs 10.0% of the nation a decade ago. Ooops; doesn't fit your steretype does it.

i think you quoted the wrong person, just sayin .

Couple of things struck me as odd-
First a 5 generation Cali complainer, seems to me if you have not figured it out in 5 generations maybe you're there to milk the system. The other biggest complainer should have left long ago as well, can't see how a person can put much stock into the howls of those who refuse to leave such a hell hole.

I spent a few years hanging in the Sac area, Roseville. Can say 45K ain't doo-doo around there, not a cheap place to live. I met a lot of 'conservatives' such as California has in the area, many shooters, many hunters, shot the Sac range many times with some very good folks.

Those who MUST conceal carry or MUST own an AK/AR are not going to be happy but the right to defend the home and own firearms is still strong. hunting is still strong, competition shooting, especially long range, is still strong.

That said if you must conceal carry or must own AK/AR weapons then stay in Texas. :peace

Well seeing as I spen the majority of time outside my home my gun won't do mech good for defense if I can't take it with me.

Sac. is not a cheep place to live. It is higher than the national average. I would also check out what your car / home insurance will cost you.

As far as guns, it is not a friendly State. 45K may not go that far in Sac.

Then stay in Texas, or suck it up, I never felt threatened in Sac or Roseville, but I have had really well trained determined men after me so this crap many civilians tremble about doesn't do much to me...

Move to CA. Check it out. The worse that will come of it is you'll want to move home..........................

I am a recent college grad being looked at by a California company and its a good job so I can't turn it down so how much trouble am I looking at to get a chl ? I have a Texas chl but I don't think they accept the Texas chl. Any advice on how to legal retain my rights and guns if I make this move?

This is sad. The fact that a person has to actually ASK how they can legally retain thier RIGHTS.

Maybe the real problem is asking the question...................What kind of environment even poisons people's mind to that extent ?......................

Huh? Might expanding on that a bit?

The toxic spew from the Right has perverted the minds of so many................................It's almost unbelievable..................

Wasn't it young uniformed people who put an incompetent Obama in the White House ?

This is freakin' HIGHlarious!!

and the turtledude didn't catch it either

yep emotobabblers who were not paying taxes or invested in reality

So tell us - do you really think it was young people in the military who "put an incompetent Obama in the White House "? They are the ones in uniform - right?

Very well, you've made my undestanding much clearer. Wanted to make sure.

So the fact that a person asks how to keep ahold of their rights is considered a bad thing? Guess you don't want people to actually think for themselves and try to avoid breaking even unconstitutional laws huh? Oh wait, or maybe you actually WANT them to break the laws? That way when they get charged with a felony you can say to yourself "Hey, he broke the law! He's a criminal and should be banned from exercising his Rights...err owning dangerous objects!... so that I can actually control him! After all, anyone that wants to actually think for themselves must be sub-human!"

I think that was a typo. You know the stigma attached to people who attack typos rather than the argument right?

It amazes me how the Right has basically made it's young people terrified of the "outside" world...........There is no reward of any kind for imitating the Judea of 3.000 BC........................

I will never reside in California. There literally is no job there good enough for me to reduce myself to paying tax money to that uninformed liberal utopian hell hole. The sad part is how many people I know who have gone there and told me exactly how bad it is. Nice to visit...hell to live.

Young people should be encouraged to go out and see the world and make their mark on it.........................Old people are better off keeping their traps shut......................

I am 24. Lol.

I also love that fantasy about how "you should go out and see the world because it will be better there than here." Indulge me for a second.

2 old men were sitting on a porch in a sleepy little town when a cute family drove up. The mom asked the man..."Hey we just moved here and we were wondering how the people are in this town?"

The old man says, "Well how were the people in your old town?"

The Mom says, "Just great. Everyone was always nice and polite and all smiles. We had to move though for a job."

Old man replied, "Well ma'am you are gonna love it here. Everyone is just the same a your old town it sounds like."

Few minutes later another family rolls up to the same 2 old men. The woman gets out and asks him, "We just moved here and we wanted to know how the people are here?"

Just as before, "How were the people in your old town?"

"Well they were awful...mean, jerks, always getting in the way, and being awful. We just had to get out of there."

The old man kind sits up and shakes his head, "Everyone here are assholes. You won't like 'em," and the family got back in their car and drove on.

The 2nd old man asked him, "why did you tell them different stories?"

"Well people are the same everywhere ya go. If everyone is happy and friendly to you...you probably had something to do with it. If everyone is an asshole to you...you're probably an asshole."

Anyway. Visiting is great. See the world. Don't expect it to be much different than home though. There are happy people in every state...and if part of you being happy is not having your Constitutional rights being used as TP...well Cali probably isn't a good state for ya...not for me anyway.

I take offense to that I was raised in Texas and I got to see all diffrent parts of the country and the world was never told what to think only told to think. Because of this I have my own thoughts and my own politics wholy diffrent from my parents can you say the same for most north eastern liberals?

Preach it!!!!

Florida here and Texas is a bucket list state for me to hunt in. Got family from there. But yea...lots of Yankees here in Florida and you would be amazed at the though process:

All conservatives are "close minded, bible thumping, gun toting, rednecks, racists, etc." it is funny how they never see the irony in that lol.

I'm a native here. I'm already accustomed to having my human rights violated......................

I don't care what you take offense to: I just hope you take that leap and move to CA......................

Personally, I wouldn't live anywhere that felt unsafe without a gun. But then, I wouldn't camp overnight where there was no fresh water and millions of people live in places like that, so go figger.

Well if everyone is gonna think I'm racist hick I really don't want to take the leap.
