House passes resolution to move forward with Impeachment of Biden

He probably shouldn't of done it in the White House.
No matter. It did not meet the definition of High Crimes and Misdemeanors. An offense that any common citizen can commit is not a High Crime or misdemeanor. it is not a crime of high office. So sorry but NO!

I would not bother myself about this bit of Rightie nonsense
I'm not bothered in the least, beyond pointing out the claim was a lie. And the poster knew it was a lie which is why he omitted the rest of the quote.

Tantrum noted and appreciated. The toothpaste is out of the tube. Americans know that Joe Biden intentionally got people to flood the border in hopes of overwhelming our Border Patrol people.
So, again...why would you just blatantly post a lie like that?
You don't like the truth, so you pretend that Biden's intentions were not for nefarious purposes. They were. And Americans know it. This impeachment process might run out of steam, but the awareness of Biden's incompetence will not.

Here is the scoop on the Ukraine prosecutor in question. I can't believe the GOP is STUUUUPID enough to bring this crap back from the dead:
"Shokin [the Ukraine prosecutor in question] was not investigating. He didn't want to investigate Burisma," Daria Kaleniuk, of the Ukrainian Anti-Corruption Action Center, told The Washington Post in July. "And Shokin was fired not because he wanted to do that investigation, but quite to the contrary, because he failed that investigation."

Shokin's claim to fame was NOT PROSECUTING, was talking bribes from companies NOT TO PROSECUTE THEM. US Policy supported by our allies was to try to help Ukraine get rid of him. Biden was simply executing US policy.

This above is about word for word what I posted at the time. The particular piece of GOP bullshit they are trying to peddle now is if anything more ripe today than it was then.

We seperate families everyday. For Drunk driving, drug related, making drugs ect. Crimes in which adults do something illegal.
Have you ever done anything illegal?

Give Republicans a power, watch them abuse it and ignore rules and morals. Censure, impeachment, counting election results, certifying results, voting to confirm appointments, on and on. And for good measure, then lie that Democrats are doing that.

Has Sonny Hostin weighed in yet?

A legitimate impeachment?

He should have never been president. Stolen election. Illegitimate.

Democrats are fuming and projecting again.

The media and big tech are in control.
^^^^ more mindless hate, projection, lies and BDS. Typical low IQ nonsense.

So it's all about the bullshit claim of open borders?

That appears to be the case this time. I'm certain there will be other articles of impeachment proposed prior to 2025.

I know we aren’t as common sense oriented as we use to be. Certainly not as practical as our Greatest Generation.

Hopefully we smarten up and realize our tools, especially our houses of representation, that we use to govern ourselves are not another reality tv show. It’s not for entertainment. It’s serious business and we must insist it be run like something serious.

Exactly what are these "high crimes and misdemeanors?"

It's entirely about immigration. Abuse of power and dereliction of duty.

"Using the powers of his high office, President Biden has knowingly presided over an executive branch that has continuously, overtly, and consistently violated Federal immigration law by pursuing an aggressive, open-borders agenda by purposefully and knowingly releasing more than 2,000,000 illegal aliens into the interior of the United States without the intention or ability to ensure that they appear in immigration court to face asylum or deportation proceedings."

So this hinges on proving that Biden "violated Federal immigration law" ?
Whatever.

The GOP should impeach Obama, make it so he was never the president. Then they can just write him out of the history books.

I've been wondering if they were planning on making Jerry Springer the Speaker of the House to preside over the spectacle. (I might actually watch that.)

The near instantaneous reaction afforded by the internet seems to have exacerbated a tendency towards short sightedness. Why bother doing all that work to represent the People when you can convince enough of them that you're on their side and are fighting for them?

C'mon ... it's the same clash of civilizations, democratic vs. less democratic.

Example #1
"...Despite the constitutional requirement that House seats be reapportioned to the states respective of their population every ten years according to the census, members of Congress failed to agree on a reapportionment plan following this census, and the distribution of seats from the 1910 census remained in effect until 1933.... This census also marked a significant population shift from rural to urban. "

Five-year investigation you say? How long is that statute of limitations and why did Durham eat up five years of it?
You have the wrong investigation. It is US attorney Weiss in Delaware's case which was held up for 5 years.
See #93 in an thread which discusses this.

Thanks for the correction.

There are so many GOP investigations that lasted years and came up empty I sometimes confuse them.

This is nothing more than revenge for youknowwho's impeachments (which were justified)

What a sham

All Republicans in the House need to do is exercise the proper restrain in not mentioning the impeachments of Trump, otherwise it would have the immediate effect of revealing that this is merely revenge.

How successful do you think they'll be?

No problem.
There's a lot of corruption in government that needs bright sunlight cast on it.

I'd say the next 10 elections are going to be a bloodbath for maga politicians. Young people and women are just not going to put up with it.
