Hotel fights back after Donald Trump threatens to not pay

That is a point most people don't understand.

You never talk to an employee, you always go to the top and ask to speak top the manager or better yet the owner.

Things get straightened out quickly when you go to the top.

Lots of people tend to be keyboard cowards.

It is called having no integrity.

Yelp, yes that will help the restaurant give better service to the next patron.

If you refuse to pay the bill, it affects their bottom line and they do what they need to to fix the problem.

If you complain on the internet, like young people are want to do, it does nothing.

Leaving bad reviews online certainly does plenty. In the past couple of years I bet I've had a dozen businesses ask me to leave a review, after they've asked if I was happy with the work. Recent examples are a landscaping business, car repair, dentist, and our guide on a recent trip overseas. And a friend who is the GM for a chain of restaurants in a nearby tourist town pays VERY close attention to his online reviews and it's part of his job to fix those issues that come up (when legitimate). Visitors apparently DO pay close attention to online reviews for restaurants, especially when as in his case there are lots of competitors for his type restaurant. I believe it - we check online reviews closely when we go out of town.

I do kind of agree on one thing though - on the rare occasions when I've had a serious problem, I do talk to whoever is the highest person I can get. If the manager/owner is competent, they WANT to know about the problem, and if the issue is getting it fixed, they will get it done often on the spot. And if the top guy says, "too bad" or whatever, I know to never do business with them again and to tell my friends and anyone else who will listen it's a crap place with crap management/owner versus just a bad employee which I don't hold against most places.

All I know is somehow my little home town has been on this forum a LOT more often than I would've ever imagined over the past 4 years.

They have a great brunch there

Hotel fights back after Donald Trump threatens to not pay - CNNPolitics.com This guy is the epitome of a megalomaniac. He reminds me of one of those traveling Carny's from the 30''s selling cure-all's and he's got his suckers that are born every minute eating out of the palm of his hand.

He's a deadbeat. He pays who he thinks he should pay, how much he thinks he should pay, and when he thinks he should pay. As for ethics, honesty, decency, honor, those are all foreign words with no meaning for Mr. Trump.

When asked by Chris Wallace at the first Republican debate about the people who lost over a billion dollars on his bankruptcies Devious Donald's response was, "I made a lot of money in Atlantic City and I'm proud of that."

He doesn't care about the ones who lost money. He doesn't care about Americans. He cares about no one except Donald Trump.

...Well said Maggs.
"Everything in your life is a reflection of a choice you have made. If you want a different result, don't blame someone else, or expect others to make a change, you should stop complaining and make a different choice. Remember, the circumstances of your birth don't determine the outcome of your life." I just wanted to comment on your <Beaudreaux> signature quoted above that's at the bottom of your posts. It's highly accurate. Progressives don't understand your signature. They believe skin color and gender, for examples, determine qualifications (socialism) and not SUCCESS IN WORK (capitalism).

To provide a sidenote to all this: I would rather have a commander-in-chief who wants to have things done the way he wants them done rather than acquiescing to some other party. I see that trait in Trump, here, and everywhere...Demanding what you want.
Does BO, for instance, have these tendencies as commander-in-chief? Unless you think BO wants to 'punish' the US, I'd have to say the answer, there, is no.

Barack Obama hates America. Donald Trump doesn't hate America but he cares about nothing but Donald Trump. But, I can understand you wanting to vote for someone who throws temper tantrums when things don't go his way.

If BO hates America, who (or what) does he care about? Why would anyone want an America-hater in the White House?

I spent a weekend at the Homestead Resort a few weeks ago. It was a great place but their AC was pretty bad too.

What did Che Guevara care about? Nothing as far as I can see. Hatred can be a driving force by itself. Others who hate America love having someone in the White House whose goal is the destruction of America.

A clue to what Barack Obama cares about comes whenever he stands up to honor someone or to give a memorial address or even a eulogy and spends his time talking about the one thing he loves...Barack Obama.
