Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s bag, including $3,000 in cash, is stolen from DC restaurant (1 Viewer)

- How did the SS agents not see the medical masked thief take the purse and leave?
I may be wrong, but I'd assume that they don't hover over her constantly like some kind of henge. They were probably sitting or standing nearby.

Oh I’m very sad performative wannabe-nazi kristi lost her bribe or whatever the **** that was.

One does not need to "hover" and can watch from a distance. I just find it strange that the SS had to watch a tape to confirm a person stole the purse/bag.

The event does bring into question how Noem secured her purse when dining. After all it had reportable about $3k in case, her badge, checkbook credit cards, etc.
Would you not expect someone to be more careful with the purse containing that much cash and the security badge?

When I am at a restaurant, my phone is never out of my sight. I cannot imagine how this happened.

Yep. When I am out at a restaurant or any business, I make sure my wallet and phone are secure.
It is a shame it happened. I don't like seeing anyone get ripped off. I also admit I am not a fan of her being head of homeland security. Maybe she will learn to be more careful.

/sarcasm
If they catch the person, wonder if it will come out that the person was an illegally here in the US.

Three grand in cash?

What reason is there to carry that around? If you need money, you use your phone or a piece of plastic.

Smells like a dead drop got intercepted.

Are you really asking if I believe that Noem, who was one of the Signal chat members, is mindful about things that impact security, both personal and national?

it was a jab at who Trump nominates and hires. :giggle:

There are many of his picks for the life of me cannot understand why the Senate approved them.

This administration is so damn incompetent.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem fell victim to a thief while eating dinner at a downtown Washington, DC, restaurant Sunday night, two sources familiar with the incident, including a law enforcement source, told CNN.
The Secret Service, which provides security for Noem, reviewed security camera footage at the restaurant and saw an unknown white male wearing a medical mask steal her bag and leave the restaurant.
Hopefully she wasn't keeping any classified documents in it.

I not a fan of the South Dakota Dog Killer, but ya'll" are setting up for some bad karma for yourselves.

Could be part of a plan for fleeing the country.

Boo hoo, I feel so chastised

She's the freaking Secretary of Homeland Security, and can't keep track of her handbag. By the way, it had her passport, apartment keys, blank checks and department security badge.

It's emblematic of how completely unsuited she is for the job.

There will be no "bad karma" accumulated by pointing out her sheer ineptitude.
