As a "right-winger," I have been called a "Nazi." This is totally absurd, and I have found a very interesting document (below) which shows how the Nazis can also be seen as "left-wing."
(Note: I am NOT saying that Democrats or liberals are Nazis!! They aren't!! This document is provided for conservatives to defend themselves when they are called Nazis, which often occurs. Neither side should be labeled as "Nazis.")
Are you capable of making a single coherent post that isn't self-defeating?
WHAT?
Hitler was a leftist and so was Wilson.
If Hitler and Mussolini were right-wingers, then why did they admire FDR and Woodrow Wilson?
And why did FDR and his supporters of the ND admire them?
Mussolini and Hitler praised the New Deal and said it "followed in there line of economic policies" and Mussolini even called FDR a "social-fascist."
Mussolini even said he got some of his ideas from Woodrow Wilson, a liberal democrat.
The only exception was Winston Churchill calling Mussolini a great man and his fascist policies.
This is so retarded. Hitler was a National Socialist...however, he was also a facist dictator that opposed anyone that disagreed with him, regardless of their political stripe; most notably OTHER GERMAN SOCIALISTS.
I know people call you "nazi" for being right wing. They are dumb. We got it.
If you are trying to insinuate that Democrats are more like Hitler than Republicans, then that is absurd, just like when folks on the left do it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's folks on YOUR TEAM that are holding up signs of Obama with a Hitler 'stache?
Starting threads like this KILL your cred, son.
Mussolini was a Marxist and why should I believe that he abandoned all his Marxists beliefs and not keep some to fit his agenda which would in terms be anti-communist.
And leon Trotsky, one of the figures for the very communist USSR, had some certain form of policy that some actually said "Socialism with Fascism and Leninism somewhere in the middle", but never got his start.
There is no right vs left! There is no substantive difference between those two flavors of socialism! You might as well call it masculine socialism vs feminine socialism, have 12 socialist parties divided by astrological signs!
There's just libertarian vs statist!
How the hell did this rebut anything I said? Why did you even quote me? I don't know what point you are making. I didn't even mention Moussolini or Trotsky...are you drunk?
a little bit of friendly advice 'bater, there are some very smart people on this board (I am not one), so if you wish to survive, try to engage your brain before your digitsI didn't mean to do that.
I'm too use to pushing "Quote"
ok the OP is crazy. Seriously man I identify more with Republicans than Democrats but it is almost (apparently) common knowledge that extreme right = fascist, extreme left = socialist/communist
Hitler was NOT leftist. He would likely want to throw every liberal person in the world into a concentration camp.
"We are socialists, we are enemies of today's capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries, with its unseemly evaluation of a human being according to wealth and property instead of responsibility and performance, and we are all determined to destroy this system under all conditions." --Adolf Hitler
was hitler secular though? I thought he was all into the Tutonic (Norse Gods).
Do you need more evidence?
Oh, and most Fascists in recent history were left wing, not right.
He was anti-Christian...close enough. Im pretty sure he worshipped himself, though.
In fact the defining quality of fascism is that it includes elements from both the left and right. Mussolini, for instance, called himself a reactionary and revolutionary. Basically it utilised progressive means to achieve conservative ends that were indisputably right-wing. To suggest that Hitler was a leftist is like suggesting Dick Cheney is a leftist. Both started on the left, but ended up on the far right.
I don't follow...what characteristics made Hitler "end up" far right?
Dick Cheney "started out" as a leftist?
