She's won, she will be the democrat's nominee. Absolutely no reason for her to debate Bernie at this point.
There is no question that she is horrible. But that doesn't mean she would want to waste time on a pointless BS debate. If he wants to cede the nomination in the studio, she would probably play ball. But why fight about socialism. The topic is old hat, worn out and won't bring her a single vote.
That may be so, but the elections aren't over yet. We all know she greased enough super delegates before the race even started, and Bernie, no matter how popular he is, never stood a chance against this evil woman.
If she wants to be President, she must expose herself to the tough questions she will have to face once in office...Fox News and Sanders are just some of the players. If such scrutiny is beneath her now, I can only imagine her transparency and openness should she ever be crowned. I can see it now. Roped journalist are only allowed to ask questions she has Emailed them, taste testers...
Notice how debates only happen when Hillary says soo... Notice how Bernie is always the one to be up for debates....... Although they both have to say they are willing to debate for it to happen, notice how Hillary is always the one who is hesitant...

So Hillary refuses to to what she claimed is the obligation of a presidential candidate... Why are her supporters so forgiving of her broad hypocrisy? It seems that she has changed a great deal and I can't attribute it to personal growth. Failure to achieve the nomination is one thing, and you can learn from your mistakes. A polar reversal on hot button issues and debates is confusing to voters in the general election... so it seems like the nomination of HRC is just a matter of convenience to the establishment and nothing more. Is the so called "Hillary for Victory" slogan based on a fight, or a shoo-in?
I think we deserve a little more conviction from our politicians.
....<snipped to get to the point>...

Bernie is not looking for a Hail Mary. Bernie wants to run the campaign until the convention. Whether you like it or not, he is steering Democrats toward the convention. HRC is the one who needs a Hail Mary, because marginal leads won't help in swing states where half of your opponents during primary season would vote for your opponent in the general election.
Its over....
BTW, the current polls don't mean much of anything. The Dems have not consolidated (half the opponents are not going to vote for Trump ... see also Never Trump movement for shallow bravado) and Bernie was never more than an unvetted hypothetical to Trump.
probably three reasons that she said no :
1. the debates, all of them, were something of a formality from the beginning. she was the nominee before she even declared, as far as the DNC was concerned.
2. Bernie is not going to win the nomination, unfortunately. the debate won't change that. he got a whole hell of a lot closer than i thought he would, though, and i got to help with my vote.
3. the debate was to be hosted by fox "news," which is RNC infotainment. the entire debate would have been a Benghazi CT convention, with the network's goal being to weaken her in the general election. also, no one in fox's audience is going to vote for her anyway. no upside in participating in a clown show like that.
that being said, she's still an unappealing legacy candidate, Democrats are inept for not learning from Republicans, who made the same mistake in 2008 and 2012. nominate an exciting candidate, and you'll often win. nominate a "vote for me even if you don't like me, or else" candidate produces poorer results. the nomination of Trump is her best path to victory in the general, and if she wins, it will be because the absolute unfitness of her opponent. of course, Trump is also exciting to his supporters, so that's a double edged sword.
The big target state is California, "Land of Fruits and Nuts". Bernie may or may not win, but Hillary is not all that popular outside California's DNC dominated news media. Reading them, you'd think she is a nun. IMO, the Bern can make a big enough impact to wipe that smile off her face even if she wins.
However, California is a closed primary, IOW, I as an independent cannot vote in either, but the independents are 24% of the electorate. But there is a secret:
Warning: Top Secret, not to be divulged to "declined to state" (aka independent) voters! The truth is, I can vote for Bernie by requesting a democrat ballot at the polling place! This is one of the best kept secrets since the Manhattan project! This information is not getting the publicity it deserves.
Oh, current polls don't mean much of anything? The Dem's have not consolidated?
What do you think about primaries?
Trump, Clinton win Washington state primary | The Seattle Times
I agree with the last paragraph. Democrats should see how Trump is getting unanimous support to the point where Rush Limbaugh feels an endorsement is pointless.
Hey, for some people it all comes down to Brooklyn, like it or not. If you don't like Brooklyn, don't vote for the nominee who was born and raised there.
Thanks for making my point that the media isn't going out of its way to inform the public.Actually, it's not a secret at all.
According to The Green Papers: United States Presidential Election 2016 , CA is a modified primary for DEMs, not a closed primary as you stated. Both Independents and Democrats are allowed to vote in the DEM primary.

She's more afraid of Bernie than Trump is, that's for damn sure.
Clinton's nightmare: Trump and Sanders say they might debate
Wait, I thought we were getting passed all this anti-Hillary stuff for the greater good of #NeverTrump??
No, I still agree they should run together to guarantee a Trump defeat. Bernie needs to drop out so they can get the ball rolling. This petty rivalry has to stop. That is my unbiased opinion.
Obviously my biased opinion is that Hillary's a bitch and Bernie should be nominee, but continuing down that line of thought will guarantee a Trump victory via further dividing the party. Both sides need to set aside their pro- or anti-Democrat biases and focus on the real threat, which is the GOP Nominee and Ethno-Nationalist authoritarian Donald Trump.
We agree on that then (minus the "Hillary's a bitch" part). Just confused at the mixed messages.
