The number of anti gun posts has declined radically in the last couple weeks. I guess they the emotional blather wears thin and with no logic or facts, the gun hating nonsense dissipates like a fart in a hurricane

They've probably deemed it pointless to argue with people that consider your post a good debate tactic.

To be honest, every single thread about gun control reverts back to one or two original main arguments, and each side relies heavily on traditional talking points. There's no new information being brought to the table on a daily basis.

Absolutely. It's a black and white issue. You're a crusader fighting against tyranny and injustice against hordes of maniacs that can't tell their ass from a hole in the ground. Just keep telling yourself that. You'd hate to stray off your preconceived narrative by considering other alternatives.

I do find it hilarious that someone claiming that every single post by a group that doesn't agree 100% with you comes from a place of either dishonesty or ignorance. Generally when I see someone that claims something like that, that there is no middle ground, that there is no option that he's wrong on even the smallest detail, that the other side just can't see his brilliance, it tells me straight away that this person is a bit delusional.

And you wonder why people haven't been responding to your gun rants as often lately, lol. Meanwhile claiming that everything they say, EVERYTHING, is either a lie or ignorant. It's just a mystery, lol.

Here are the facts

1) there is no substantive body of evidence that demonstrates that all the laws the democratic party wants (bans, waiting periods, taxes etc) have any relevancy to public safety

2) most of the leaders of the gun restrictionist movement are dishonest about their real motivations

3) we on the pro rights side don't engage in such dishonesty

4) we have no duty to defend a right nor do we have to concede that even if your silly desires increased public safety that our rights should be infringed

5) the burden is on those who want to limit freedom. The best they can do is "lets try it IT MIGHT WORK"
