Has anyone seen the bud light ad that's making republican heads explode?

I have been drinking beer for a long time, but have never had a problem with Bud Light. When I want a lighter beer and not pay 12 bucks for a six pack, it does just fine.

I can’t remember the last time I had one. Probably the Spuds MacKensie years.

No, but I saw the one that caused Bud Lite to tank overnight. It was piss-poor beer, so it wasn't a big loss.

I saw it and thought it was pretty dumb to be honest but there was nothing offense about it.

You know how offensive it is for white people to put on black face and appropriate being black. This man puts on woman face and she doesn't act like a modern smart woman. Instead she portrays a ditz. By the way the objective of advertizing is to increase revenue. This campaign has lost 5 billion in revenue.
If whatever person you're are talking about were to put on 'black face' for a full year straight and lived as a 100% black person the whole time, I don't think the message they would be equivalent to what you are insinuating.

Believe it or not, some people and the companies they represent are not total slaves to the almighty dollar (the one true God in America), and might live by their principles of freedom and fairness rather than a number in their bank books.

There was a person who did that and she was outed for appropriating. Rachel Dolezal who was born to white parents but decided to identify as black. She used it to her advantage.

In a bizarre turn of events, a prominent civil rights leader and Africana studies professor in Spokane, Wash., has been accused of pretending to be black for personal gain.

Granted people don't wear black face all the time. When they do its usually with a caricature of a black person exaggerating speech and tonality. This human imitating a woman isn't putting woman, men or trans-woman in a good light. Does it appear to you she is a smart, demure sophisticated woman of the 2000's? No 'she' is a total caricature of a bimbo. Woman should be more appalled then men. If she was a born woman they probably would protest.

That's a lovely thought. I seriously doubt the executives at Budweiser launched this campaign out of altruistic reasons. They believed it would spark sales, not diminish them. If the reports of 5 billion loss in sales is true layoffs may well ensue. Are the workers interested in a cause or trying to feed their families? At some point in the future companies and businesses will return to selling their products on the basis of the value they add to our lives and leave social issues to bloggers.

I hadn't until just now.

It's pretty innocuous and inoffensive.

I drank eight bud lights today so far some people can complain I don’t care lol I will continue buying it as long as I can get 12 pack for 10 dollars

Pick your argument.

Your first attempt is BS. It shows your total ignorance about human sexuality regarding gender identity. Blackface was a mockery that was part of centuries of discrimination culture. Garbage argument.

Second, you post disingenuously that you are offended on behalf of women. Show me your posts protesting decades of female celebrities far more ditzy. No, this is simply the Republican lying tactic of trying to adopt a value when it's convenience, falsely. And she is simply 'Bud culture' everyday person type style, not especially ditzy.

Thirdly, so you don't care about transgender, you don't care about women as ditzes, you're not only offended on behalf of Budweiser making a supposedly money losing ad, you care so much about Budweiser's money that any ad they make you say loses money, you call for right-wingers across the country to respond to with terrorism and bomb threats against Budweiser and hate toward transgender people. All three garbage,

The stupid republicans don't know that Anheuser-Busch is a major donor to the Republican Party.

Or I should say WAS.

Now that republicans have lost a major donor republican politicians are canceling their attack on Anheuser-Busch.

The hate republicans have for the LGBT community has caused them to lose millions in contributions.

LOL.

Republicans are too stupid to realize you don't attack the hand that feeds you.

I can assure you that women are not offended by this, but thanks for your support.

Market cap is not the same as revenue.
I had a smile on my face the whole time the commercial ran. Clever, IMO.

The GOP is a bitch of one less corporate donor....so what?

Money doesn't elect officials. Voters do.

You keep showing your ignorance of gender identity. There is no analogy to 'racial identity' as a biological attribute, as part of the brain. There is no analogy there that makes any point on your side.

Repeating your nonsense disingenuous concern for portraying 'ditzy people'. Watch the two Budwesier superbowl ads I found in a few seconds putting men in a much worse light that hers does and show me your posts protesting on behalf of portraying men badly.

That's a lovely thought. I seriously doubt the executives at Budweiser launched this campaign out of altruistic reasons.

The only clear lack of altruistic motives here are yours.

There's a simple concept: advertising having characters that reflect more of society more equally, so that every ad isn't a white man. We went through this with black people in ads, women in ads portrayed as stronger than 'passive housewives excited about cleaning products', gay people, handicapped people, older people, on and on, and yes, that includes transgender people, and that's what the right can't stand.

Now, more concern trolling where the right suddenly cares about worker salaries, after supporting everything that hurts them on behalf of corporations. Except there is no evidence for your nonsense claim. Beer purchases are down across brands after price increases, including Bud, which is down 0.9% in sales but "total revenue grew 10.2% to $14.67 billion".

Lot of garbage arguments you post.

All for you to try to find phony attacks to defend hate against transgender people. Those people in the ads screaming for their sports team have nothing on you fighting for your team of right-wing haters.

Money doesn't elect officials. Voters do.

LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL! Guns don't harm people, bullets do! Guns have nothing to do with it! Be careful, you're looking like the ditzy woman DrewPaul is offended by.

You'll only be sorry when you are FORCED to trans and get GAY MARRIED! It's GUARANTEED that this is the goal!

The reasoning you folks come up with is amusing. Like the notion that if I didn't protest 'decades of female celebrities far more ditzy' then by some equation known only by liberals, I shouldn't protest this. This isn't a protest its offering an opinion on a subject the same as you are. In my opinion advertisers make terrible caricatures of nearly everyone. Just as you have this bizarre caricature of conservatives.

No, it's you preposterously pretending you give a crap about women portrayed as ditzy, ignoring thousands of far greater examples to try to exploit the issue for attacking a transgender woman. As I said, disingenuous, and other flaws. Then you tell a lie about my having a caricature of 'conservatives'. I can't remember the last time I saw one, but I accurately creiticize right-wingers. You can't show inaccuracies; just post lies.

Tell that to the republican politicians.

They are pulling their attacks on the company.
