Reid a idiot. He honestly thinks that during a Democrat run Presidency the Republicans are going to be to blame ?
Exactly. Democrats won't pass a budget, Republicans will.
This is the guy the American people recently voted for. Obama budget defeated 99-0 in Senate - Washington Times
Actually he has four years experience running the
country now.
And no, Obama is not in the same flip flop league as Romney. For the record, I merely voted for the better choice. Want another come, choose a better candidate.
According to most polls they are getting the blame.
Plus considering the election result where many "hawks" got booted or nearly booted and the GOP lost seats in both houses and never came close to beating Obama.. and that 1.5 million more American's voted for Democratic congressmen/senate candidates than GOP (and yet the GOP managed thanks to gerrymandering of districts to get 54% of the seats in the House /clap to the system)... then yes people are blaming the Republicans.
the economic impact of Obamacare will be profound
but in a positive way
every other advanced industrial nation does not saddle its employers with the cost of health care
we did
and we did so in such a way that it cost no less than TWICE the expenditure as the next costly health care system
those costs had to be factored into every widget which was manufactured, thereby imposing a competitive disadvantage right out of the box
and now that disadvantage will disappear and our domestic businesses will be better positioned to compete with the other trading nations
There is that whole compromise thing which is how Democracies generally work. Republicans passing a bill without even a thought of compromise is useless. Sorry, the majority in this country refuse to be dictated to by the minority.
What compromises have the democrats proposed?
Because they are and have not contributed one penny to the debt either. You know this too but won't admit it. You want to write off $2.7 Trillion of the hard earned wages of millions of people as mere numbers. The fact that the money was invested in the U.S. Govt. does not mean it was lost. As long as the U.S. Govt stands it will make good on that debt. And we will need EVERY PENNY.
Yes, and he's done a super job. He's balanced the budget, cut the deficit in half, raised employment numbers, and so on. At least that's what he says..
I can see why, if someone was pleased with the results of his presidency, some would vote for Obama a second time, but why do you suppose they voted for him a first time?
You voted for a leftist because you're a leftist. That's the only criteria.
How on Earth could you have come to the conclusion that O was the better candidate ?
I swear this is starting to read exactly like the last chapter of "1984".
Reid says fiscal cliff dive likely; blasts Boehner for lacking leadership | The Ticket - Yahoo! News
"Boehner will be to blame “if we go over the cliff, and it looks like that’s where we’re headed,” Reid insisted as the Senate returned to work for a post-Christmas session focused on disaster relief for Sandy victims and renewing key government surveillance powers."
How much does anyone want to bet that a "miraculous last minute deal" will be struck that avoids the cliff yet does absolutely nothing to address the problem? All just another well played episode of "Kick the Can", I'm afraid...

You are in LaLa land sir. Both programs are contributing to the deficit, today.
I now believe that they've reached a deal behind the scenes but won't disclose it publicly. Many of the politicians want the American public to think that they are still playing poker in order to get the best deal for their side.
The details of the deal will be made public at the last possible minute, and there will be those on both political sides who think the final deal sucks.
One, a country isn't a business, so being a business person has no special place as a qualification. Second, they held almost the same views. The only major difference was Romney's willingness to flip flop.
As for the hyperbolic nonsense about Pol Pot, odd that you equation knowledge with something evil. You'll find most leaders of all movements were educated.
Going over the cliff will not bring ruin to the world. The best option is a real deal that does something effective. Absent that, the cliff is the next best option.
Republicans are so cretinous they have lost and don't know it. Taxes on the rich are going up. There's no way these shills can stop it.
If we go over the cliff, the next day the Senate proposes a tax cut for working families and dares the tea party House to shoot down a tax cut. The GOP is so nihilistic they probably will, and that will mean in the next election, armageddon for the tea party
Sadly HoJ probably has at least this sort of scenario right...Oh, and shouldn't the country be so proud of the hate filled mind that would pull this sort of political slime off? Progressives/Liberals my aren't they just so bipartisan, and full of honest brokership? I swear, I have never seen such projection clinically speaking, or so much hypocrisy in my entire life....All progressive/liberals are more times than not are angry, hypocritical, liars.
Oh, and don't bother replying, trying to have a civil conversation with some progressives is a real exercise in beating ones head into a brick wall of dishonesty. :rantoff:

Part of the Presidents job is to oversee, and put in place policies that directly effect the economic course of the country, and a large part of that is business in America. So, yes, in these times, Romney was infinitely more qualified versus a failed community organizer/con artist like Obama.
Just so everyone is crystal clear, you believe that Pol Pot was an "educated leader"....Wow.
