I don't own a gun, but I remain unconvinced that any attempts to restrict them will work unless we're talking a constitutional amendment, at this point.

I also am not convinced that doing so will actually help anyone except perhaps the politicians who take sides on it.

Yes there are some progressives and liberals who are for gun rights but they are far and few between.

You won’t see any politician truly pushing repealing 2A, it would be political suicide. Besides if they repeal it then that’s one less major false flag talking point for the Dem gun grabbers. Better for Dems to have 2A in their back pockets as talking points then to actually repeal it. Had two years of Dem control over govco and no repeal, would be no better time then now….but no, gotta keep that one in their back pockets. Same with tax the rich. And their minions eat it up.

That is not true. In 1993 the Democratic Party controlled Congress and the White House, just like today. That is when Democrat Representative Major R. Owens, from New York's 11th District proposed:

H.J.Res.81 - Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States repealing the Second Amendment to the Constitution.​

Democrat Senator Feinstein is also on record the following year, publicly stating that she supported a complete ban of all privately owned firearms.
