Guns are killing us not protecting us

There is no denying that americans do have an obsession with guns. Weapon of choice sort of thing. But that does not make guns a bad thing. It's the choosing to use a weapon that needs to be looked at.

A "weapon" or a "gun"? People all over the world use weapons to murder people.

Let us cherry pick a little. Why are these so called so called murder rate and suicides just compared with 22 rich income nations? What's up with these countries? Are some of them maybe to uncivilized? I get your point though, and i am certain you got mine.

The subject of GUNS though, like MATHEMATICS, is more emotional for some that real.
I do not mean you.
You are merely expressing your viewpoint, and i get it.
Just understand i did not make my post to insult you or your intelligence.

But as evidenced by this picture, some gun banners have no earthly idea how guns function.
They are all emotion.

I am glad you took it the way it was intended. Thank you.
My personal rule is when someone starts getting personal in a discussion, they have lost and there is not further need to discuss.
In short....when the CUSS in disCUSSion arises, the discussion is over.

I used to give seminars on overcoming Math Anxiety and it was pretty scary the level of angst some had about it.

But London, UK is a more violent place than New York, USA.

Yet London has had zero mass shootings in 2017 and 2018. In fact the UK has had ONE mass shooting since 1996.

The USA had 345 mass shootings in 2017 alone (mass shooting as defined by the US congress).


The reason that the UK has almost no mass shootings is that guns are (for the most part) illegal in the UK ... whereas in the USA there are more guns than people.

ie: there is more than one gun per person in the USA.
