I think over the next decade this will become more common.Voters in four states will decide ballot measures relating to gun control this November. In Maine and Nevada, voters will decide whether to expand background check requirements to include private gun sales.
In Washington, voters will decide whether to take guns out of the hands of people who are subject to extreme risk protection orders, which include restraining orders and people at risk of suicide.
And in California, voters will decide whether to ban the possession of large-capacity magazines. The California measure, Proposition 63, would also require individuals to pass a background check before purchasing ammunition.
This year’s measure to limit access to firearms for people under protective orders, Initiative 1491, is modeled on legislation that has passed in states like California, Connecticut and Indiana. If it is successful, it too will be exported to other states. Stephanie Ervin, who is running the pro-1491 campaign, said she expected a similar measure to appear on the ballot in Oregon.

Uh.....
When did gun control become a states right issue?
Do people just not understand how this works?
The first set in Maine and Nevada will be unenforceable if it even passes.
The Washington law is already in place in several states in one form or another.
The California proposal is simply California doing what California does best, how anyone with any sense of Liberty or Common Sense can stand to live there is beyond me.
Beach front, warm weather.
Background checks are already done. How about some more.
Controlling magazine sizes violates the constitution.
Banning people from having guns due to this that or the other thing violates the constitution.
Requiring background checks violates the constitution.
Making it harder for people to kill themselves with a gun violate the right to end your life and the constitution.

How if it is law in 1 State is it unconstitutional in another?
Perhaps a restraining order from a spouse?I'm OK with background checks, but I have a problem with.....
1) Control of magazines. IMHO, that would be unconstitutional.
2) Extreme risk protection orders..... Not necessarily against, but on what basis is someone assumed to be an extreme risk, and what is the criteria?
What happens when they fail? How does that not violate their second amendment rights?
If you cannot address the question asked, do not reply to me.

I couldn't understand your question. The wording is really weird.
Doesn't the 10th amendment specifically lay out that things NOT covered by the Constitution are left to the states? In this case then the 2nd amendment would trump the states rights issue....That is why passed or not, expect a court challenge.....
Questions are simple
Background checks are already done.Yes- No??
How if it is law ( proposed changes) in 1 State is it unconstitutional if challenged all the way to SCOTUS?
SCOTUS makes the final ruling when challenged? Yes - No
The OP has a link, list what ones are or are not law in at least 1 State
If passed I would expect court challenges. Excepting where it is already law in other States and challenges have been ruled upon by SCOTUS.
Not what I asked. Wait till doomsday for all I care.Read the amendment and tell me where any openings are. I'll be waiting.
