Last I checked, we aren't at war with Putin, and a good percentage of people irrespective of political labels wouldn't favor such a war. So the question remains, who cares? And why?

i was wrong. Cawthorn is out in the western most part of the state (NC) that kisses Tennessee and Georgia. Here are the demographics...

Please explain to us that, even if that all was true, how that justifies Putin or anyone else from attacking Ukraine, killing civilians and children, exposing them to radiation, etc., etc. IMO, it doesn't. Otherwise, you'd be in favor of Russia attacking the U.S. if it didn't like what its president did, even tho' its president might be just as corrupt as Putin.

IOW, you are a commie apologist (do I sound like grandpappy now?). It's quite obvious that you have some ax to grind in support of Putin.

Zelenskyy trounced Petro Poroshenko in the 2019 Presidential election. 13,541,528 votes for Zelenskyy to 4,522,320 for Poroshenko. 73.22% to 24.45%

That's a far worse trouncing than Trump received from Joe Biden in 2020.

Higher numbers of collective brain rot are gradually taking over societal norms via all forms of false communications and backwards educational learning producing more of them for holding office from the support by said higher numbers. The deterioration of accountability, honesty and respect is more attractive among the rotted than working towards humanity and fairness to all with integrity. The behavior of a M. Cawthorn during the '50s and '60s would have been put to shame. Today, it pulls in more $$$ with baked in free passes for such behavior. It's what rot does until nothing is left and, unfortunately, that's what the near future holds for us.

And John Adams wanted to do that via the Alien and Sedition Acts over an election with Jefferson. I believe that in times of war, desperate measures have to be taken. That said, -if- he does not release those he has jailed after the war is over, THEN that is an entirely different issue.
