GOP Just Voted to Block Ep-Files Release Today

So does Trump care "that much" about releasing the files as you claim MAGA does, or does he want to conceal the info? Make up your mind.
"Would you declassify the Epstein files?" Fox News' Rachel Campos-Duffy asked. Trump responded, "Yeah, yeah, I would."

In September 2024, Trump made a more firm pledge to release Epstein files during a podcast with Lex Fridman.

Fridman, in conversation with Trump, said "it's just very strange for a lot of people that the list of clients that went to the island has not been made public."

"It's very interesting, isn't it? It probably will be, by the way, probably," Trump said.

"If you're able to, you'll be --" Fridman started before Trump jumped in.

"Yeah, I'd certainly take a look at it. Now, Kennedy's interesting because it's so many years ago," Trump said. "They do that for danger too, because it endangers certain people, et cetera, et cetera, so Kennedy is very different from the Epstein thing but I'd be inclined to do the Epstein. I'd have no problem with it."

Seems like Trump needs to make up his mind.

ROFL! No, I do my own research, and concern myself with things that actually matter to me. But you do you: keep watching TV all day and melting down on command while telling yourself you're smarter and more sophisticated than MAGA!
For someone who says they don't give a shit about it, you seem to have a lot to say about it.

I mean, if you really feel that way, then there was no reason for you to even make a post here. Just move on. I do that: there are threads I don't care about, so I don't even waste my time (or the time of other posters) in responding.

This has been important enough to you to respond to, repeatedly. So, forgive us if we don't believe you when you say don't care. You appear to care plenty...

Quick question.
What is the mechanism in place to prevent any administration from erasing or altering government files i.e. Epstein Files,
or any other document that might be incriminating?

I don't believe there is any limit to what they might redact, if some rational for doing so can be conjured up. As a rule, Grand Jury proceedings are never shared with the public, but the evidence in the trial - the Epstein "files" - might all be available. That said, don't expect anything to be released that might even come close to exposing the victims.

I don't expect anything compromising will be released, these activities were certainly a bipartisan endeavor at the highest levels.
I don't mean redaction, I mean actually destroying files or changing any of the original documentation therein.
Is that possible at all?

Well, we know that anything is possible, but I suspect destroying documentation is unlikely because it is protected, and had been so well cataloged that being destroyed would be noticed and prompt deeper investigation. At least that's how it would seem to be.
