GOP Just Voted to Block Ep-Files Release Today

Not sure whom you mean. Pretty much all my friends and acquaintances are Republicans. Never heard anyone give much of a shit.
initially had such a hard on for the files to be released, why aren't Trumplican politicians demanding it en masse now that they have a deathgrip on all branches of government?

We can do this all day.

Whatever you say. I never gave much of a shit about it and don't know anyone who has (despite pretty much all of my friends and acquaintances being Republicans).
MAGA gave a shit about it.

You cant deny it.

So what do you want me to do about it? 🤷‍♂️

It's still a red herring. If someone in MAGA cared that much about it, I'd probably question his critical thinking capabilities.

...House Speaker Mike Johnson told right-wing influencer Benny Johnson in an interview released Tuesday that he is “for transparency,” and wants Bondi to “put everything out there and let the people decide.” He said the Justice Department needs to focus on crime and other priorities, including elections and investigating ActBlue, the Democrats’ top fundraising platform....

Trump and Bondi should stop acting like Deep State!

So you question Trump's critical thinking capabilities.

Good, welcome to the club

So does Trump care "that much" about releasing the files as you claim MAGA does, or does he want to conceal the info? Make up your mind.

He is being pretty unambiguous about it. He wants everyone to please stop talking about it. For some reason.

He has been on both sides of that.

It must give you whiplash.

I dont know how you do it. I couldnt no matter how much i liked a politician.

It was important then, and it's important now.

There doesn't need to be prosecutable evidence of a crime to release the Epstein treasure trove. A person's level of involvement, participation and frequency is demanded by the public's right to know, especially regarding elected officials.

Bullshit. You're advocating opacity when transparency was promised to the voters, and transparency is being demanded by the electorate.

They can demand it all they want, but if it's none of their effing business, they shouldn't get it.

Why not? It isn't a matter of national security. By what right is that information being withheld from the public? The Divine Right of Kings?

Can the alleged victims not simply testify about their alleged abusers? Sounds like that would be a lot better than some "list" that says some guy visited. The courts can even force testimony in criminal court. Plus, statutory rape is typically a State level crime, so the feds wouldn't even need to get involved.

You don't have a right to other people's private information.

Bullshit. The only "private information" we're talking about is the information of a dead man - Epstein.
I have no less right than the government does.

Of course you do. That's why information used in criminal investigations is often kept under seal. And it's not just information of a dead man. If that was all it supposedly was, nobody would be interested in it.

If it's information about the malfeasance of elected officials, then the public has the right to know.

The public only has the right to know what people do in private if it's illegal. If they did something illegal, they should be prosecuted. There's been plenty of time for that.
