Global warming activists still trapped by inconvenient ice


If those who perpetuated the false narrative of AGW didn't use computer generated polar bears stranded on floating Ice Packs because of melting polar ice you might have a point.

But the fact that we were told polar ice caps were disaplearing at an alarming rate DUE TO AGW and that the Liberal Democrats could save us, (for a price of course ) makes it ironic that explorers looking for "evidence" of global warming became trapped by growing sea ice.

You know, why did they even board that boat ? The Pro AGW crowd never needed objective proof before.

Communism is the Mother Church of Strange Beliefs with Liberalism being one of its many branches. Within these branches comes the belief in, or concerns about, Global Warming, Poison Rain, Bird flu, Overpopulation, Frankenfoods, Organic anything, New Age, and so on. These frights occur as frequently as new philosophies designed to free the soul appear, from shouting in a forest to group hugs, to 500 people holding hands and lying naked in the sand chanting in Swahili..

Ah, don't worry. This won't deter them. They claim this is weather. Far different from climate, which is absolutely disastrous. We're idiots, who can't tell the difference. What I'm wondering is at what point do these "smart people" go outside and read the thermometer?....... "It doesn't matter what that thing says, we're warming damnit. Warming. And if you don't believe it, I have 15 models from the computer I programmed to prove it. Yer just a denier. And probably believe in creationism to boot. I'm getting that pain behind my eyes that I usually get when I have to explain this **** to idiots with no education at all."

I was prescient. Who knew they'd all get stuck? Not to worry. It's just the weather. It's not the climate. The sun plays a marginal role. It's a man-caused disaster....if they hadn't gone, they wouldn't have gotten stuck. Plant more trees.

I don't claim to be an expert but I've been forecasting April as the start of global warming in the Northern Hemisphere for years now. The Farmer's Almanac is my most trustworthy source.

All the models have biases in them. We had a little book next to our work station when plotting out forecasts that denoted which model did what with what kinda system historically (ya know, built in bias!). When you know that, you adjust your forecast. Most forecasts from smart meteorologist blend the two. It's generally the safe bet. At least more then three days out that is.
 

I understand. I hadn't even heard of the Euro model until about two weeks ago when the weather channel showed two different tracks of the same storm. It seemed the storm ended up at the same place pretty much, but it took two different tracks to get there. I wonder what caused them to all of a sudden to show two different models.

It is suppose to get down to 6 degrees tonight and that is south of Atlanta. Burrrr my butt. You know something is wrong when the low in Fairbanks AK is 7 degrees and Georgia is below that. This has to be a pinko communist plot done by the weather channel in order to tip the world over or something like that. I want my global warming and I want it NOW!
 

The humor in all this is watching people deny climate change using the appearance of winter as some kind of reasoning.
 
Once you get global warming/climate change to affect the gulfstream, you'll get another little ice age.
Coincidental how this little ice age helped end the bubonic plague huh.
Karma/fate/what do the land of smiles folks call it?

Then there's the "weather changing" conspiracy folks who I see on the Military Channel.
A square field of transformers in Alaska that emits its own aurora borealis as well as creates its own clouds .
 

It rarely gets below 70 in the LOS although temps in the upper 50's are know to happen every so many years. I am about ready to say to heck with the house and board a plane tomorrow for the LOS. Would you believe a wind chill of minus 10? This is ridiculous.

And in denier land, apparently there are absolutely NO ice caps on earth anymore.... EVAR!!11!!!1!!!!

Sweats over sweats work well so jeans aren't tight.
I have to start our outdoor vehicle several times a day.
I'd be going to your local mountains .
