Why Did Greenwood pick a show that even Fox News agrees that no reasonable person would watch for factual information? Here is Mr. Greenwald's interview with Tucker Carlson.
NOTE that Mr. Greenwald gets a free reign to voice his position without much interruption from Carlson.
I think his point at how our Intelligence Sector has gotten into bed with the MSM, using the media to do internally to the USA what they are designed to do in other nations is spot on right.
This has been growing in and going on for quite some time now.
One of the many reasons I no longer trust when MSM "reports" cite "anonymous sources" for alleged "facts" about anything; much less what's going on inside the current Administration.
Granted, we only have one side of the story (I haven't heard of a response from The Intercept, anyway), but the allegations aren't just that the editors wanted Greenwald to fix a factual error in his piece about Biden, but they instead demanded Greenwald remove all segments that were critical of Biden. That's not any sort of journalistic standard I've ever heard of.HAHAHAHAH the Trump sucking libertarian with a grudge against Dems ragequit because they wouldn't kowtow to him and favored journalistic standards instead!
That man is auditioning for a spot on Fox.

I love this. A conservative coming to the defense of a middle-aged left-leaning gay journalist. Oh, the irony!Glenn Greenwald is a classic example of how the left eat their own. Greenwald has always been a left leaning journalist who worked at mostly left leaning organizations such as Salon and until today, the Intercept. He has done a better job than most journalists in recent years of not letting his political bias stand in the way of a story. He has gone after the last 3 presidential administrations in one way or another, but what led him to be disowned by the left is when he expressed doubt about the veracity of the Trump/Russia collusion narrative... Which he ended up being correct about.
His resignation today earned my respect. There aren't many so called "journalists" who would put their principals ahead of their careers, but that is precisely what Greenwald did today and I commend him for it.
Greenwald's reasons for resigning highlight a major problem that has permeated throughout the vast majority of MSM outlets in America. The news media has abandoned all objectivity and fairness, and have become the propaganda arm for the democratic party. That is no longer a debatable opinion, but an undeniable fact that should be of great concern to every single American. When a public opinion poll finds that 51% of Americans believe the absolute lie, that Hunter Biden's laptop and the emails it contains are the product of Russian disinformation, even after the Director of National Intelligence publicly stated that it was not, that is all the proof anyone needs that the mainstream news media in America have become purveyors of political propaganda and dishonesty, who can no longer be trusted.
We've gone from a politically biased, but generally honest news media that people all over the world turned to for the truth, to a dishonest news media that has become no better than the state run media outlets we see in communist countries and banana republics... What's sad is, the folks on the left are perfectly content with this.

First of all, I haven't smeared anyone on this thread. He's a journalist with integrity, and these days that's worthy of respect regardless of his political leaning.
The fact that he's gay is absolutely meaningless to me, but I understand the importance you all put on identity politics and trying to smear those you disagree with. It's not like you can win a debate based on the issues.

Sure you did... When you said "A conservative coming to the defense of a middle-aged left-leaning gay journalist. Oh, the irony!", you included the word "gay" which had nothing what so ever to do with the op or anything I've posted. You very clearly accused me, and those who are politically conservative, of hating homosexuals.
Case closed.
.
When a Liberal includes the indentifier "gay" in any response to anything, it is intended to immediately condemn the person he views as a Conservative.
Tucker Carlson... Isn't he the guy whose own attorneys told a court that no reasonable person takes him seriously? Yes, he is.Here is Mr. Greenwald's interview with Tucker Carlson.
YawnI think his point at how our Intelligence Sector has gotten into bed with the MSM....
Funny how you don't notice examples of the right eating their own. Or, worse yet, extensively covering up for or forgiving those who violate their own moral or political principles. Anyway....Glenn Greenwald is a classic example of how the left eat their own.
Yes, and he also has an ego the size of Chicago.Greenwald has always been a left leaning journalist who worked at mostly left leaning organizations....
And he corrected that by... going on Tucker Carlson's show?!? LOLGreenwald's reasons for resigning highlight a major problem that has permeated throughout the vast majority of MSM outlets in America. The news media has abandoned all objectivity and fairness....

Back in the real world, Greenwald simply doesn't play well with others, and hates the idea of anyone editing his work for any reason. The Intercept, by the way, most certainly is not in the tank for Biden -- e.g. they were openly pro-Sanders, they often criticize centrist Democrats and the Democratic Party, and so on.
But hey, don't let little things like "facts" or "questionable credibility" get in the way of adesperategood rant....
Fascinating.LMAO... That is a mischaracterization of what was said... But of course you already know that, so why do you feel dishonesty is necessary?
Is that just inherent in the ideology, because it sure seems that way to me.
Fascinating.
please explain how those exact words that were said in court are somehow a ‘mischaracterization’.
Really?I already did in the original thread on the topic.
edit: let me include the link... Notice how I was post #3, and the thread died after post #4?
.Fox: "no 'reasonable viewer' takes Tucker Carlson seriously"
Fox won their court case by claiming no reasonable viewer would take Tucker Carlson seriously. Fox News won a court case by 'persuasively' arguing that no 'reasonable viewer' takes Tucker Carlson seriously While they are right about reasonable people, many of their viewers aren't reasonable.debatepolitics.com
What they said was that Tucker Carlson hosts a political opinion show and that no reasonable viewer would take the opinions he expresses (including the one at the center of the lawsuit) as a factual declaration. Hell, nowhere in that 19 page court document does the word "seriously" even appear.
Really?
you’re going with this?
So you agree that no reasonable viewer consider’s Carlson’s opinions as factual information. It's the truth, not the fake news you are spouting... So absolutely.
That's one reason why I like Carlson's show. Here is Mr. Greenwald's interview with Tucker Carlson.
