Here is Mr. Greenwald's interview with Tucker Carlson.

NOTE that Mr. Greenwald gets a free reign to voice his position without much interruption from Carlson.

I think his point at how our Intelligence Sector has gotten into bed with the MSM, using the media to do internally to the USA what they are designed to do in other nations is spot on right.

This has been growing in and going on for quite some time now.

One of the many reasons I no longer trust when MSM "reports" cite "anonymous sources" for alleged "facts" about anything; much less what's going on inside the current Administration.

Why Did Greenwood pick a show that even Fox News agrees that no reasonable person would watch for factual information?

Tells ya something.

HAHAHAHAH the Trump sucking libertarian with a grudge against Dems ragequit because they wouldn't kowtow to him and favored journalistic standards instead!
That man is auditioning for a spot on Fox.

Granted, we only have one side of the story (I haven't heard of a response from The Intercept, anyway), but the allegations aren't just that the editors wanted Greenwald to fix a factual error in his piece about Biden, but they instead demanded Greenwald remove all segments that were critical of Biden. That's not any sort of journalistic standard I've ever heard of.

Glenn Greenwald is a bad joke and has been for a long time. The term “useful idiot” freely springs to mind.

Glenn Greenwald is a classic example of how the left eat their own. Greenwald has always been a left leaning journalist who worked at mostly left leaning organizations such as Salon and until today, the Intercept. He has done a better job than most journalists in recent years of not letting his political bias stand in the way of a story. He has gone after the last 3 presidential administrations in one way or another, but what led him to be disowned by the left is when he expressed doubt about the veracity of the Trump/Russia collusion narrative... Which he ended up being correct about.

His resignation today earned my respect. There aren't many so called "journalists" who would put their principals ahead of their careers, but that is precisely what Greenwald did today and I commend him for it.

Greenwald's reasons for resigning highlight a major problem that has permeated throughout the vast majority of MSM outlets in America. The news media has abandoned all objectivity and fairness, and have become the propaganda arm for the democratic party. That is no longer a debatable opinion, but an undeniable fact that should be of great concern to every single American. When a public opinion poll finds that 51% of Americans believe the absolute lie, that Hunter Biden's laptop and the emails it contains are the product of Russian disinformation, even after the Director of National Intelligence publicly stated that it was not, that is all the proof anyone needs that the mainstream news media in America have become purveyors of political propaganda and dishonesty, who can no longer be trusted.

We've gone from a politically biased, but generally honest news media that people all over the world turned to for the truth, to a dishonest news media that has become no better than the state run media outlets we see in communist countries and banana republics... What's sad is, the folks on the left are perfectly content with this.

I love this. A conservative coming to the defense of a middle-aged left-leaning gay journalist. Oh, the irony!

He's a journalist with integrity, and these days that's worthy of respect regardless of his political leaning.

The fact that he's gay is absolutely meaningless to me, but I understand the importance you all put on identity politics and trying to smear those you disagree with. It's not like you can win a debate based on the issues.

First of all, I haven't smeared anyone on this thread.
Second, get off your high horse. We know damn well that you dismiss this journalist as just another Marxist leftist socialist America hater the moment he writes something you disagree with. Anyone who writes anything with which you disagree "has no integrity." This is just an opportunity for you to point your finger and say "See? See? The left even censors their own!" Of course, you won't bother to hear the editors' version of events. That doesn't fit the narrative.

Sure you did... When you said "A conservative coming to the defense of a middle-aged left-leaning gay journalist. Oh, the irony!", you included the word "gay" which had nothing what so ever to do with the op or anything I've posted. You very clearly accused me, and those who are politically conservative, of hating homosexuals.

Case closed.

Here is Greenwald's article about the alleged Biden scandal and the mainstream media's attempts to suppress the story. It's a fascinating read and is very well documented.

Cheers and be well.
Evilroddy.

Glenn Greenwald is a horrible human being.

In what way does Greenwald's sexual preference impact your views on his political writing?

When called out for their blatantly hate filled tactics to attack and destroy, the holier than thou Liberals always try to turn the accusations around.

Liberals NEVER seem to see an individual individually- they see people only as parts of larger groups. They then use that grouping to either condemn or anoint.

How any individuals' perceived membership(s) in groups change in their definitions is amazing. "A drug using wife beater" is bad. Well, usually.

However, if the "drug using wife beater" get killed by a cop as the cop responds to a call for help from the beaten wife, the "drug using wife beater" is suddenly a victim and is no longer classified as "a drug using wife beater".

Real life facts that change after the fact based only on the whims of the politically motivated are interestingly tragic. Truth dies when the politically motivated touch it.

When criminality, ethics or morality are determined by race, religion, political affiliation or gender, that determination is flawed.

Liberals are amplifying their calls to discard equality and justice applied individually in favor of bias and retribution applied demographically.

When a Liberal includes the indentifier "gay" in any response to anything, it is intended to immediately condemn the person he views as a Conservative.

All it actually does is define the narrow minded, hate filled, myopic view of any situation twisted by the flawed lens through which their view of the world is distorted.

Condemn? I don't "condemn" anyone. I simply establish my relationship in light of what I consider conservative points of view.

Do you oppose same sex marriage? Do you oppose anti-discrimination for LGBTQ? Do you, like many conservatives, condemn homosexuality as "an abomination in the eyes of GOD"?

If you answer "no" to these questions, you are NOT a conservative in the eyes of your fellow conservatives.

Tucker Carlson... Isn't he the guy whose own attorneys told a court that no reasonable person takes him seriously? Yes, he is.

I think his point at how our Intelligence Sector has gotten into bed with the MSM....
Yawn

Back in the real world, Greenwald simply doesn't play well with others, and hates the idea of anyone editing his work for any reason. The Intercept, by the way, most certainly is not in the tank for Biden -- e.g. they were openly pro-Sanders, they often criticize centrist Democrats and the Democratic Party, and so on.

But hey, don't let little things like "facts" or "questionable credibility" get in the way of a desperate good rant....

Glenn Greenwald is a classic example of how the left eat their own.
Funny how you don't notice examples of the right eating their own. Or, worse yet, extensively covering up for or forgiving those who violate their own moral or political principles. Anyway....

Greenwald has always been a left leaning journalist who worked at mostly left leaning organizations....
Yes, and he also has an ego the size of Chicago.

He wasn't getting censored at The Intercept. He's been living in Brazil for years, and deliberately isolating himself from the staff of a media outlet he co-founded. Greenwald's reporting pieces (like the Biden piece) were routinely edited, and Greenwald simply hates the idea of anyone editing anything he does. They weren't going to kill the piece. They didn't take a black marker to huge swaths of the article. The editor suggested that Greenwald focus on the media angle rather than the validity of the Hunter Biden evidence. Instead of accepting the criticism, Greenwald rage-quit.

Greenwald's reasons for resigning highlight a major problem that has permeated throughout the vast majority of MSM outlets in America. The news media has abandoned all objectivity and fairness....
And he corrected that by... going on Tucker Carlson's show?!? LOL

Please. The Intercept is not a mainstream media outlet. Fox was created from the outlet with a right-wing bias. And Greenwald may not fit neatly into the typical left-right political map, but he absolutely has his own bias.

LMAO... That is a mischaracterization of what was said... But of course you already know that, so why do you feel dishonesty is necessary?

Is that just inherent in the ideology, because it sure seems that way to me.

Fascinating.

please explain how those exact words that were said in court are somehow a ‘mischaracterization’.

I already did in the original thread on the topic.

edit: let me include the link... Notice how I was post #3, and the thread died after post #4?

Really?

you’re going with this?

What they said was that Tucker Carlson hosts a political opinion show and that no reasonable viewer would take the opinions he expresses (including the one at the center of the lawsuit) as a factual declaration. Hell, nowhere in that 19 page court document does the word "seriously" even appear.

It’s the same thing. No reasonable viewer considers Carlson’s words factual.

It's the truth, not the fake news you are spouting... So absolutely.
So you agree that no reasonable viewer consider’s Carlson’s opinions as factual information.

I guess you think thats a big win.

That's one reason why I like Carlson's show.
He lets the other person say what they want without interruption.
But there is one reason why I don't like Carlson's show.
He doesn't have the other person on long enough.
But Carlson is terrific. The best out there. Can't think of anyone better anywhere.
