That's his bluff. Those who do the research, find it's BS. His followers don't do the research, are even reassured by his statement and are sucked into his scam, such as his gold fraud.
He introduces himself, so it's not all lies.
But from what little I've seen of him, the problem is not so much lies as the sheer amount of bias.
The only bias I see is maybe a little bias toward socialists and communists. I guess that could be a problem for some.

Hey, did ya miss where SNL said Beck was right about gold? LOL
Anyway, Glenn lies all of the time. If you don't believe me, read Huffington post and Media Matters.
They caught him in a whopper a while back. Scroll down and watch the clip where he admits it on his radio show.
He lies so much, I'm sure hundreds more will be posted to this thread. This one is just the tip of the iceberg.
Feel blessed that you don't get fox news.
Video: Glenn Beck admits to lying about Washington's inaugural address at 'Restoring Honor' rally - National Political Buzz | Examiner.com
Like if you bought some when he first mentioned it at $700, you'd have now doubled your money? Whoa...what a fraud.
Wasn't he hawking coins not bullion?
What happens is that while his facts are rarely in dispute, there are a couple of problems. One is that he only presents facts that support his views and not everything. The second is that he uses those facts to come up with wild theories about history. While what he says has some basis in truth in that he draws it from history, his conclusions are rather fantastical and unsupportable due to that incomplete picture of history.
Glenn has a tendency to take nuggets of information and spin them more than a top. I am pretty sure that he could devise a theory that Mother Theresa was an evil and vile woman if he wanted to. That's what he does. And if one of his disciples ever has a moment of wanting to "look it up," I am sure Google can find some remote idiotic blog written by some crazy in mom's basement that contains similar theories.
That is Glenn Beck.
the company he shills for sucks. yes, gold goes up, but it's doubtful those actual customers make much.
But Beck isn't saying to look it up on a blog or biased website. He's saying: "Do your own research." That part's on you. You should be able to factually research his claims and if you can't then either dismiss his claim or improve your search of facts.
Good God, is that all you can get the guy on? He claimed that he had "held" a document that he had only actually looked at? Is that the best you can do? Is that even an "issue"?
You guys claiming that Beck "lies all the time" have just lost any credibility you had with me.
I did, he was wrong about Rockefeller and Rock center.

I hope this isn't a revelation to you, but you do realize that anyone can pretty much find any information to "back Glenn up" on the web, right? For instance, if Glenn Beck said that Bush was Hitler, and said "do your own research," do you not think there'd be links backing that up? Here, if you don't believe me:
bush is hitler - Google Search
But that same argument can be used by anything not Glenn Beck. Even then, people like Olbermann, Matthews, Schultz, Malloy, and Maddow don't even advise people to do their own research. At least that way critical people like me can research such facts.
