But that same argument can be used by anything not Glenn Beck. Even then, people like Olbermann, Matthews, Schultz, Malloy, and Maddow don't even advise people to do their own research. At least that way critical people like me can research such facts.

Furthermore, I ask that people stop saying that other people would just look up partisan hack websites. Any true critical person would avoid such sites, try to find factual evidence, and then reason internally on such facts and notions.

Right. This is why I despise the lot of them. Many viewers are too lazy to find the truth and willing accept whatever these propagandists say. And no one does it better than Glenn. He is the master of spin and drama and so many fall for his idiotic claims.

The man creates a masterful fabric of logical fallacies to prop up and paint the image that he wants others to see, this image (which is usually extrapolated from the smallest nugget of truth) tends to get so distorted and manipulated through his fallacious ramblings that it is not even reality anymore.

Here is a link to an excellently done, very thorough (and very long) dissection of a snippet of Becks dialogue. It strips the facade off from his oratory and shows it for what it is - a masterfully crafted pile of logical fallacies used to convey a distorted message. A similar dissection could be done to literally everything the man says, should one have the impetus or the time. Beck is a case study in fallacious arguments (and I am sure this is deliberate on his and/or his staffs part, I give him credit, he is a freaking genius as a snake oil salesman)

Well, I prefer Michael Savage because he wears his emotions, thoughts, and beliefs on his sleeve. Basically, he's not reserved and, well, weasel-ish like others from both sides. Savage is bold and honest, hence why a lot of people do and don't like him. He's not afraid to speak his mind or be sneaky. People that are bold and openly honest I prefer because I can more easily glimpse the true nature of that soul.

I do know that he fake cried a few times, and that's a sizable "no-no" in my book. If you're honestly going to cry, then cry. But if it's fake, and I understand them as fake, then we have an issue. I like honest emotion, not fakeness.

Some issue have merit imo. I was at my college and watching one of his shows and he stated that words like "caveman, chairman" and such were being stripped out of textbooks from a state that I cannot recall---the issue stuck in my mind, though. I also heard that certain school lunch foods were being banned but again I don't recall the setting---I don't recall the location and the names of the schools. Issues like those can easily be researched, I can imagine.

I take it this is the post you meant. Alright, let's analyze.

Quite frankly I despise them to one extent or another, besides Savage. He has some facets I disagree with but not much. Both talking heads besides Savage from both sides I either dislike or am not too interested in. However, I do sympathize with some points from my side. Take Hannity for example. I don't even know him or watch his show. What I do know is that he has some similar views to mine. I can dislike Hannity or be disinterested in his show, yet still agree with certain general concepts.

Many viewers are lazy and stupid. I'm not that type of person. Thus why I debate my hardest to make mistakes and learn from them. To know what is and isn't. To take the fragments I create and re-examine them. I don't take things for face value. Even now I dislike socialism and communism, but I want to study, learn, and understand them to get a better understanding. That's not lazy; if you think I am like that, then you're mistaken. Otherwise, I'd be disagreeing with everything you're saying and blindly defending Beck with everything I've got.

You're biased, Beck's biased, we're all biased. You can say he's a master of deceit, but others could call him an a master of truth. Me, I call him Harry.

You could say that, and I can agree because that's what Beck does on his opinion show... But I could just as easily say that about every freaking opinion show out there. I could be biased and even hateful against all of them and state that every sincle one of those weasels are masters of twisting and spinning deceit. They're all sneaky spiders, I could say.

Glenn Beck lies, he distorts, he creates falsehoods, he exaggerates and does it knowingly so, he's a smart guy who's made a lot of money off others ignorance. Quite Genius actually.

Maybe that's the reason that he is sucessful at being a political pundant. Thats what they do - it's in the job description.

I really don't buy much of what Beck suggests. I do TIVO him, then I watch his show about 3 days a week and it only takes me 10 minutes per episode. I just scan through to find if he has anything new to say. He rarely does. But when he does, I do want to be informed about it. Sure, everyone has told a lie or two and everyone is occasionally mistaken. I am sure that he is no exception, but for anyone to claim that he "tells lies" is being very dishonest. I believe that the facts that he presents are very accurate and nothing of significance has ever been proved to be a lie, we have to each make up our mind about his conspirousy theories. As listeners we just have to do our best to filter out the bull****.

Overall, I feel that I am more informed due to the information and potential senerios that he has presented. Honestly, I'd never have come up with that stuff on my own. If his theories are correct it will be to our advantage that we are knowlegable enough not to let this stuff sneak up on us (any more than we already have). If he is wrong, then he is just wrong and no harm has been done.
