The problem is...Reason is a more credible source than you (anonymous internet guy) or Glenn Beck. But thanks for playing.
What sources do you trust, PI?
I'm just saying I do not know what I am, guy. You can cut out the really enthusiastic political commentator gag too. It gets old when you have seen it for a decade and realize it gets annoying trying to picture that guy talking to you about it in real life. I prefer not to talk to someone who speaks like a cartoon character. Later.
That phrase is really kind of 1990s gay. You really should get up to speed and use something like "fabulous."
Why wouldn't you just cut out the middleman and make stuff up on your own? It's not like Beck is the only one that can do that...
Hey LOOK KIDS! It's the Raw, but all too baseless assertion that Beck has 'just made something up and intentionally conveyed it as fact'...
He does this so you won't catch the lies he is telling you.And David Barton talks way too fast.
Barton elaborated. He began by talking about Alexis de Tocqueville's concept of "American Exceptionalism," noting that "there's gotta be a reason we're different" from other democracies. That's where the "Black-Robed Regiment" comes in. These, according to Barton, were the preachers who influenced the bulk of the Declaration of Independence:The Declaration of Independence is nothing more than a listing of all of the sermons that folks had been hearing in church in the decades leading up to the American Revolution.
The man doesn't even claim to be a journalist... He describes himself as an "entertainer"... Pretty much every single day a new story comes out where it turns out he completely fabricated some piece of information or another... Seriously, you are oblivious to all that?
He does this so you won't catch the lies he is telling you.
TPM goes to class:
Me And Glenn Down By The Schoolyard: TPM Enrolls At Glenn Beck's 'University' | TPM LiveWire
I didn't watch, but apparently Barton claimed that the Constitution was based on the Book of Deuteronomy. Can you prove this Sweet Meadow Melons?TPM?
ROFLMNAO... Sweet Mother... Why not just quote a DU thread?
The coolest part of your post however is that neither you nor the resin caked minds of TPM could even bother to offer a contest of the Lecture's content.
So I challenge ya... straight up Scooter. What about the lecture was inaccurate or 'factually challenged', if you prefer?
Naturally, failure to prove the falsity in the lecture will constitute your concession to me, that despite your desperate desire to claim Beck's position and his guest lecturer is wrong... you've no means to prove otherwise...
Which is at the end of the day, just really nasty stuff in terms of veracity, integrity and all that sort of simplistic, antiquated agrarian ethos...
ROFLMNAO... Are you appealing to the authority of "Journalists"? 'Cause it sure looks like ya are...
But setting that truth aside; I am going to have to overtly challenge you to post the evidence of Beck being proven to have fabricated information and passed it along as truth.
I didn't watch, but apparently Barton claimed that the Constitution was based on the Book of Deuteronomy. Can you prove this Sweet Meadow Melons?
Doesn't seem like you're understanding. A journalist is somebody who purports to be reporting information about the world. Glenn Beck doesn't even claim to be doing that... He says he is entertaining his audience instead... He doesn't even claim to deserve the blind faith you appear to be giving him... Seriously, just watch any 1 epsidode of his program. While you're watching, google every "factual" statement he makes. I'll bet you anything that at least one of them turns out to be a flat out fabrication...
You can't possibly seriously be challenging me on that point...

I mean, do you just not have google even? You could find 100 more in like 10 seconds...
Oh so you want me to accept your urls as actual valid examples which validate your assertion...
Sorry, that's not how it works...
What you need to do, is to actually dig through your own disinformation, find your best shot, cull the information, quote it, build an intellectually sound, logically valid argument around your evidence, citing your source.
Now be sure to get right back to me when you've managed to work up something resembling that minimal requirement.
Otherwise, at some point I'll just recognize that you've conceded the point and opted not to formalize it...

What? I exceeded that requirement... There are like 25 clear cut examples I provided above... If you just don't want to read them, that is your problem, not mine.
Glenn Beck's views on him being a journalist.
In fact I believe Mellie many times has said Beck says he isn't a journalist and I know she listens to him and I think watches his show as well.
No.. you posted URLs and imply in so doing that those URLs; OKA: Links... substantiate your assertion. Rest assured that neither the "Links", nor your implied assurance, sustains your assertion.
I just watched the first class.
Faith was the subject. I already knew most of it, but it was a nice refresher. He (David Barton) discussed the early preachers who influenced our Founders' beliefs including Rev. John Wise and Rev. George Whitfield among others. He mentioned how some sermons at that time were political. This rubbed me the wrong way, honestly. I'm fine with preachers discussing how we're all equal and free, but I don't like it when preachers talk about certain policies and how they should be passed, etc. I don't think my preacher should be preaching that the AZ law is good or bad, for example. It's not the job of a preacher to influence his congregation how to vote in political elections. It IS the job of a preacher to influence his congregation what to do about their spiritual life. Then allow the members to determine themselves what policies follow the will of God.
He spoke of how it wasn't just Paul Revere, but also Wentworth Cheswell (a black patriot) also warned the colonies of the British coming. Not sure what they had to do with faith...I kinda tuned out after that. I'm busy making sun tea and trying not to fall asleep.
Overall I give the class a C. I knew most of it so it was kinda boring, but it was interesting the first time I heard it. And David Barton talks way too fast.
Time for tea and maybe a nap. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz....
So, without reading them, you have concluded that they could not be accurate... Yep, sounds like a Beck fan's reasoning to me...
so either comport yourself accordingly, or concede that you've no means to sustain your assertion, by failing to do so.
