Give President Obama a grade

All one need to do is compare campaign promises to what he's actually succeeded or pursued with anything more than lip service.

Agh, he's been in office for three months and engaged on just about every field he said he would, but this isn't fast for his desparate critics needing something to rail against to lift the lingering sting of defeat?

Fortuantely, his report card isn't due for another 45 months or so.

I would suggest that Republicans start coming up with a plan of their own rather than unrealistic timetables and standards that they themselves could never meet. Or, I suppose you can get better acquianted with that stinging feeling following a resounding defeat.

You know, my Grand mother probably said it best: bitching never solved anything.

B+ = In doing what he's doing.

F = For what he's trying to do.

Foreign policy a D

Domestic policy F- He is trying to turn this country into a socialist state.......that must never happen........

This coming from the man who gave Bush "Straight A's"

As of 7:53PM Central Daylight Time, there were 1,628,480 responses.

More than half of those responses rated him at "D" or "F".

I have posted several threads where I rail against Dear Leader...but this thread I am merely pointing out the disappointment indicated by 879,379 other individuals. That's not railing.

(Ok, maybe I'm taking a wee bit of pleasure in the disappointment of those 879,379 worthy individuals)

Shall we list the discrepancies in this first 3 months? Or shall we spin them as "reacting to changing scenarios" or "changing his mind" or other such diversions from stating the truth?

Fortuantely, his report card isn't due for an 45 months or so.
While we are at it why don't we argue that Bush's shouldn't be due for 25 years so we can accurately render an opinion. (We could play this game forever.)

You are coming off as oversensitive to valid criticisms of Obama.

What exactly is the democratic way then?

It is clear that this poll is for the conservative Americans and those 879 thousand are the CONSERVATIVE Americans.

90% of the Liberal population couldnt be assed to take part in this ignorant show of conservative propoganda against our President.

He is has been in office three months, how in the hell could he have done that much bad to recieve a F from 41% of the polled?

He didn't, its just people are still sour about McCain losing the election and they can't face the fact that maybe Obama is doing good so they are just trying to put him down every chance they get.

Atleast he's trying to get NATO involved in a NATO operation in Afghanitsan, unlike Bush.

Atleast he's talking to other economic powers, like China, and France, and the UK, in an attempt to fix the world economic crisis, unlike Bush.

Atleast he's trying to make the world like America again, in a sense, unlike Bush.

Obama has done more good in his three months in office then Bush did in his 8 years.

Obama is not the godsend everyone is hoping for, I doubt we will jump into a wonderful era of Economic Prosperity before his first term is finished. I also doubt we will be out of Afghanistan, and the terrorist threat of Al Qaeda eliminated by the time his first term is finished. But no one is giving him the credit for trying. He may not support the conservative way of letting free market capitalism either take the economy into an upward spiral of economic growth, or in an economic disaster which will send the housing market into shambles, the stock market to the lowest point in quite a few years, or inflation through the roof. He may not support the conservative way of eliminating a threat before it becomes one, which can plunge the world into war, or let Americans and other people on the globe live free of possible terror attacks, but wether he takes the conservative way or the liberal way, the goal remains the same, which is economic growth and proseperity, and world peace.

So why don't you stop giving him an 'F' for doing more than Bush did in his 8 years. I understand this is culture shock for everyone who was comfortable with Bush and his policies, but his 8 years is up and Change has come, and Change is here for at least 4 years. You will all bitch and moan when the next president comes in and turns everything upside down too.

I think it's still too early to give him a solid grade. So far, I am wholly unimpressed with his performance but I also didn't vote for him either because I was unimpressed with him during the election. I will just have to wait and see.

You meen the campaign is over. You could have fooled me by the way he is carrying on as if he is still running for office.

First, let's acknowledge that the results of an unscientific online poll mean absolutely nothing.

Second, I'd probably give him an 82.

And the grade you've all been waiting for.
The very measure of the true value of Obama as our President.

Arch Enemy grades Obama's past three months.... as

Arch Enemy said:
insufficient data

There you have it. Now go home.

(nah but fo' reals, it's somewhere around a smiley face and a frowny face. I'm thinking the good old fashion constipated face :\ )

I'll give Obama right now the grade of a B-. I don't like what he did with the Stimulus Package overall and I have no problem with giving him an overall grade lower of this if his decisions don't improve things.

I will say this, at this point and time in Bush's presidency I gave Bush an A-, so I am kinda disappointed with Obama comparatively at this time. however, as we have seen a score can go very bad or very good real quick.

Yeah... F (it's E now- a- days in my high school,) but He has pretty much done terrible.

Hard to believe huh? He's managed to do it though. Change we can bereave in.

Atleast he's trying to get NATO involved in a NATO operation in Afghanitsan, unlike Bush.

NATO countries have been in Afghanistan, primarily in support/logistic roles.

Atleast he's talking to other economic powers, like China, and France, and the UK, in an attempt to fix the world economic crisis, unlike Bush.

Bush too talked to the world powers you listed. Obama has only brought more spending committments back from the G20.

Atleast he's trying to make the world like America again, in a sense, unlike Bush.

Great, another liberal history revisionist.

[sarcasm]

Revolutionary War - They loved us

War of 1812 - They loved us

Alamo - They loved us

Spanish–American War - They loved us

WWII - They loved us

Cuban Missile Crisis - They loved us

Iran 1979 - They loved us

Beirut 1983 - They loved us

NYC WTC 1993 - They loved us

NYC WTC 2001 - They loved us

[/sarcasm]

Please tell me a period in time in which the world "loved us, or liked us"?

More liberal bull**** about how they're going to restore our reputation around the world.

Obama has done more good in his three months in office then Bush did in his 8 years.

He's spent more money than all the former Presidents combined to payoff his campaign contributers, period.

World peace? Keep dreaming, it'll never happen.

Prosperity? By taxing the hell out of everything and everyone? Dream on.

Economic growth takes investment by the private sector. No one is going to invest in squat unless it's beneficial to them. Higher taxes and the illegal take over of corporations by the government is only thwarting investments.

This is like giving someone a grade on a test...when they have only had the opportunity to answer 6% of the questions on that test. MSNBC's poll is idiotic and irrelevant. Those who see any credence in it have an agenda, nothing more.

According to what? The unscientific poll? His approval rating is still high, but lower on individual issues. Just like Reagan.

Many of us here knew Carter and Reagan, and Obama is no Reagan.
Obama is the anti-Reagan.
He isn't even like Carter, he's clearly worse; having a palatable dislike for America.

A fitting representative for the D's.

.

I gave him an "incomplete".

I try not to take any stock in online polls. They're unscientific and almost always skewed in favor of those who tend to frequent the particular site in which the polls are posted. The only thing remotely interesting about this poll is that MSNBC polls almost always skew unroportionately left. I'm sure there have been exceptions to that rule, but not for something like this.

To me this is a small (albiet real small) chink in the armor. I tells me maybe (just maybe) some who are afraid to express their disappointment out loud are starting to do so annonymously. It would be interesting if this is the beginning of a trend. And it will be even more interesting if we're still told we're petty, partisan hacks for noticing.

I find it interesting that you don't put stock in polls but you know how MSNBC polls usually are. ;)
