Why don't you stand up and do something about it? Aren't you a Muslim, living in a Muslim country?
british diplomacy?
Look Medusa, I generally respect your posts and points of view and I think that our exchange on this point is a matter of cultural difference. It is a common opening in my society to say "I don't know what you do in your house/school/country, but we don't do that here." I was not sufficiently culturally aware in saying that to you, and despite the fact that no racism was intended, I apologise unreservedly if you took offence.
I still consider the way you expressed yourself to be impolite, but I should not have expressed myself in the way I did. Mea culpa.
LOL! Yes flawed as it may be, British diplomacy will always be superior to Turkish (or British) impoliteness and insult.
why? :mrgreen:I'd hope as much. In truth, I'd be rather surprised if you weren't quite a bit more polite than we are.
Does violence really help any message?
why?
i feel teh same thing !
You are talking to a Wahhabist here, Medusa.
Although the info says female from Georgia, it sounds too much like a man from Saudi Arabia to be much else.
How perfectly ridiculous.. Are you completely unaware of Americans who live and work in the ME and Turkey .. and love and appreciate the people?

Turks are not Wahhabists and do not promote Wahhabist ideology.
I'm perfectly aware of that. I know a couple myself. They live sheltered, pampered lives in secured ex-pat complexes and know next to nothing about the local people. Maybe you're different, I don't know. All I know is that you're utterly blind to the dark side of Middle Eastern culture. Your refusal to accept it even exists is quite baffling.
When you figure out what a Wahhabi is, we'll talk.
So, you are trying to portray Turks as Wahhabists now, are you?
That's almost as good as when you referred to Iran as Arab or said that women have more rights than men under Sharia Law.
Do keep them coming,. o.k.?
That's true.. there are some Americans who never leave the ex-pat compounds, but most do and revel in the discovery of culture and traditions so unlike our own.
There is so much to see and do.. the desert and the beach and the saltmines are quite beutiful, you know.

cool story, bro
No I am not trying to portray Turks as Wahhabis.. That is your strawman.
When you learn what women's rights are in Islam, we can discuss.
