Georgia's Senate runoffs: Warnock makes history with runoff win, Ossoff ahead
The major networks have declared Democrat Raphael Warnock the winner in the Georgia Senate runoff race with Republican Kelly Loeffler.
Democrat Jon Osseff leads Republican David Perdue by 17,000+ votes, with anticipated votes still to come in from urban Democrat strongholds such as Columbus, Macon, and Savannah.
I dearly hope the GOP grip on the US Senate will be broken, and Mitch McConnell's power on the Senate floor rendered impotent.

The Senate runoff race in Georgia between Democrat Jon Ossoff and Republican David Perdue is too early to call. At 9:45 a.m. EST, Ossoff led by 17,025 votes out of nearly 4.4 million counted, a margin of less than 0.4 percentage points. There were still some mail ballots and in-person early votes left to be counted statewide, the majority of which are in Democratic-leaning counties. Under Georgia law, a trailing candidate may request a recount when the margin of an election is less than or equal to 0.5 percentage points. Raphael Warnock is the projected winner in Georgia's other Senate runoff race last night, meaning that if Ossoff's win becomes official, Democrats will begin President-elect Biden’s administration with control of both the House and Senate.
