Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger recognizes the emergency, in which we, as a nation, now face. It is all about integrity and honesty that allows us to place trust in leaders of our states and our nation. Raffensperger has shown us all what integrity looks like in the face of threats. He did his job honorably well despite the fact that he'd face scrutiny and threats, in which all has come true. This is a measure of a good person unlike many governing officials today, both those still active and those sent packing. I am proud to dedicate a thread to one who has proven themselves. God speed Mr Raffensperger with everything that you do in the future and by all means may your family be forever safe.

“I felt then — and still believe today — that this was a threat,” Raffensperger writes. “Others obviously thought so, too, because some of Trump’s more radical followers have responded as if it was their duty to carry out this threat.”

But he does think voters need to choose officials with more integrity, as conveyed by the book’s title.

If we don’t have people of the highest character run for elective office, we will continue to fight disinformation, misinformation and outright deception, and the end result will be an erosion of public trust,” Raffensperger writes. “We need the people who hold public office to continually strive for the noble causes in life with noble behavior.”

Virtue is in short supply these days.

hell, who doesn't know that?

Wasn't this debunked by an audio of a phone call? Or is this a different thing?

By this, what exactly?

Or is this a different thing?
For me in which is explained in my op, Raffensperger is speaking about "integrity" which is reflected in his book, that I have not read. His role as Georgia's Sec of State during the 2020 election vote process and soon after the results were determined was to remain honest and unshaken from the pressure applied by the Right. He's maintained his "integrity" to date even after he and his family has come under threats according to him.

Raffensperger’s Book is out Today

“Brad Raffensperger put public service above party service, and for that he is a true democracy action hero, and he is also my hero." - Arnold Schwarzenegger former governor of California

We know what was said, there was no threat.

Raffensperger felt that there was and being that he has dealt with whomever he's dealt with as Sec of State, it's his call to define it as such as he wishes. I still support his projection that "integrity" needs to return in the future.

Maybe he should talk about his irrational feelings with his therapist.

I’d suggest a re-read of the transcript of the call.

TRUMP: ... because, you know what they did and you’re not reporting it. That’s a criminal — that’s a criminal offense. And you can’t let that happen. That’s a big risk to you and to Ryan, your lawyer. And that’s a big risk.

Rattenpurger is a sack of shit who did a recount without examining the ballots. That's not a real investigation, that's just shuffling deck chairs.

Yeah...no threat. Trump believed there was criminal negligence in the vote counting. He continually went on at lengths to talk about inaccuracies he believed were real. There was no threat and no attempt to make up thousands of votes out of thin air either, which was also another false claim. It was a comment on him believing there were thousands of valid votes that would easily win it for him and to find those same votes.

So your entire defense is based on Trump being a total moron. Funny how that's always the excuse.

Strange, that's not how one words a threat..

Well, considering what has long been known about Trump's integrity - or lack thereof - the idea would seem to have escaped many millions of American voters.
So many Trump voters are more like Trump than they realize. If they'd had any integrity at all, especially in 2020, they would never have voted for Trump. It really shows what a state of division this country is in.

Fox news has a whole lot to do with our current problems.

Political tools claim everything is a threat.

Then explain the still open investigation in Georgia. If Trump did nothing wrong, they certainly would have dropped it by now.

Another stellar response……..how do you do it?

Flat trolling. Everyone knows the expected answer. It's hilarious, granted, but not a mystery.

Ha Ha. It's an honest question. It seems even democrats in high places are scared to prosecute trump. But that Georgia DA is still investigating. Why?
