George Zimmerman in custody

Solitary confinement is considered torture. In the book of Devil's Island, the author who had been there said the most feared torture was not being whipped or physically tortured, it was sensory depravations of being put into solitary.

But prove it wrong. Go see how you like being in your closet - total silence, can have nothing - after you emptied it out and put in a camping toilet, water and some food. See if you can do it for 48 hours, let alone indefinitely.
Solitary confinement is not torture and the jail Zimmerman is in is not Devil's Island. He's in solitary confinement for his own safety, not to illicit a confession as you portray; and furthermore, he wants to be in solitary confinement as his attorney put off seeking a bond hearing because for now, solitary confinement is the safest place for Zimmerman.

Getting your ass kicked is not defense to kill someone. Zimmerman's injuries were not very severe and I believe he's going to have a tough time convincing a jury that he reasonably believed Trayvon was trying to kill him.

Lol...

I'll posed this question to all ccw holders and cops....

What if your getting your ass kicked, and on the verge of being k.o.ed? How are you going to retain your weapon then?

No, but if he thought the guy following him about was reaching for a weapon he had the right to resort to physical force.

And at some point the gun came into play, so they may have been fighting over the gun the whole time.

If you're trying to pull a gun on me I get to beat you till you stop.

What If's do not work in court from the prosecution.

What If's cannot and should not be the basis of a murder charge by the state.

I would have tried tazing the person already, or using pepper spray... if both failed.... and I was getting my ass wooped.... I'd shoot em.

Correct

You don't notify or try them - you shoot them in the ****in' face. Period

There's no evidence Trayvon knew Zimmerman had a gun until the moment he was shot. There's no evidence Trayvon was trying to kill Zimmerman. There was no motive for Trayvon to kill Zimmerman. Zimmerman shot Trayvon because he was getting his ass kicked.

Well now Zimmerman faces life in prison for killing someone who was kicking his ass.

Once again, you offer no justification for no TV, no radio, no collect-call telephone and no writing materials. It is to illicit a plea bargain.

It's what Zimmerman wanted. What part of that is torture?

What If's do not work in court from the prosecution.
Sure they do when the evidence supports that scenario.

What If's cannot and should not be the basis of a murder charge by the state.
They aren't, the evidence collected provides the basis for the charges.

I understand the rules of evidence in this.

What I'm speaking to is thos meme that Z being on the bottom is "proof" of felonious assault.

We know the gun came into play at some point. WHEN is key.

I can't understand why so many can't even entertain the idea that their hero messed up. That Barney Fife may have gotten in over his head.

I can certainly accept that M may have attacked Z in the way y'all posit. I just don't see it as extremely likely.

First he was afraid for his life now he has no life. Which is worse? He is probably on suicide watch too, that's why no sharp intruments or TV. Telephones are always limited in prison.

You mean so you don't get shot with your own gun? Don't carry one and it won't happen.

Why don't you find it to be likely?

When I look at the map of the complex... and I compare it to the times in the call log and where Zimmerman stated he was at that time.... and then I compare it to the time the incident alleged and WHERE it occurred in relation to Martin's residence......

I find it hard to believe that a high school football player could not have ran home from the clubhouse (where Zimmerman first started the call with 911, that is where Maritn was observed) to his home in 8 minutes.

He had plenty of time to get to his home, or find help.

He chose not to.

Of course, there are a thousand what if scenarios to explain why Martin decided not to act reasonably if he felt that he was in imminent fear of death..... but when you start making TOO many excuses to disregard why someone did not act reasonable, your case falls apart.

When was he afraid for his life? I don't recall that.

Trayvon played in the Optimist League.. T-ball thru about 8th grade.. 150 lb weight limit.

Do you think Zimmerman acted reasonably?

What does weight have to do with this exactly?

Again, you jump the gun

Zimmerman is innocent until you can prove legally, the opposite...Legally. Thats, the key word

The prosecution feels confident they can prove it. We will see.
