Gen Mike Flynn weighs in

There's a disconnect here. If Ukraine is achieving victories Russia won't be there and, critically, the Europeans won't be screaming for ceasefire. What you are calling victories are PR stunts that did not move the needle on the ground
War of attrition. Something Americans don't understand even when it's conducted against them.

That's not how wars of attrition work.

Well, if Russia doesn't get it, I guess they're welcome to continue grinding up their population in Ukraine to grind down the Russian-speaking population there they claim they are trying to save. 🤷‍♂️

Doesn't hurt me any.

Correct that the US has a nuclear arms agreement that bombers must be parked in plain sight so that either side can monitor via satellite the numbers and locations. The US is now a party to this breach of the agreement.

Russia withdrew from the START treaty in 2023.

The poster spoke of Ukrainian victories, not wars of attrition. If Ukraine is scoring victories, not PR stunts, why are Russians still in Ukraine?

Maybe Russia isnt getting it because they are doing just fine. They are firmly in 5 Oblasts and advancing

Well, Ukraine has scored various victories, like pushing Russia out of Kiev and liberating Kherson city. These victories are part of the broader strategy of getting Putin to send more of his orcs to get goodified in Ukraine, which Ukraine hopes will eventually lead it to victory in the war of attrition.

Why does winning a few battles have to equal total victory? The hot phase of the war has only been going on for a mere 3 years. Both WWI and WWII in Europe took longer to end than that, and in WWII that was with Germany fighting on two fronts against numerically, industrially, and technologically superior foes. Wars of attrition take time.

I heard they annexed Zaporozhye even though they don't control Zaporozhye city. They also said they didn't invade Ukraine. Russia says all sorts of stupid shit. You shouldn't believe their bullshit so readily.

Where is your source for this claim?

Did the US put our satellites at risk by using them in an attack on their bombers?

Ukraine doesn't need US satellites to locate Russian air bases. Ukraine has plenty of Russian speakers (and sympathizers) who are familiar with Russia.

Besides, privately owned satellites such as Planet Labs and Maxar can provide Ukraine with whatever telemetry/photos are desired.
