#1. There is no 'democrat' party.
#2. I don't know what the Democratic Party thinks, but I believe that if the GOP doesn't do anything about America's immigration problems it will be in big trouble in future elections.
Don't take my word for this, just wait and see. November, 2016 will be here before you know it.
If the GOP uses that as its campaign slogan in 2016 I predict that the GOP will lose.
Interesting, I wonder what the democrat party thinks about this?
Here are the gallup results...
You predict the GOP will lose in 2016 no matter what slogan they come up...Your argument in every thread is "wait and see." That aint much of an argument.
Well, let's see...
Obama, after saying during the campaigning that this election was about his policies, turned around and said that his policies are important. He also said he didn't "sell" them well enough.
The Democratic Party looked at things and decided that they just have a hard time winning non-presidential elections...maybe because their base just doesn't vote then.
And then there are those who want to blame the media.
So...what does the Democratic Party think about this? Denial, as usual.
My take on that matter is that the republicants seem to veer fairly far right to get prrimary votes and then try to hook back to the center in the general election. The demorats don't seem to play that silly game, even during their primary, since they are smart enough (unlike the republicants) to know that the far left will never vote for the republicant in the general election.
I get dibs on the first troll to respond with "Gallup is a right wing" whatever. Ten bucks says this thread doesn't get to two pages before there isn't some form of dismissal based on some kind of slant
this despite all polling disputing it ?
As it was and ever shall be: "its the economy, stupid:
Why has the popularity of the democrat party plummeted?
Why did the GOP lose the last 2 presidential elections?

We'll see how popular the GOP congress is after it fails to deal with America's immigration problems.
Feel free to start your own thread on that, but here the more valid and timely topic is how the Democrats lost this last one in historic terms.
And I thought all this time that Obama was at least being honest about that, he has claimed he won those elections, now it appears you see the Republicans are the natural governing party and need explain their occasional losses.
Easy..Obama lied and cheated.
Now go start that thread.....
We'll be right behind you....soon too!
We'll see how popular the GOP congress is after it fails to deal with America's immigration problems.
Obama lied, the democrat parties popularity died!

People hate Washington period. Give the Republicans a couple of months of culture war making this Spring and they will be back in the same shape approval wise they were before. Neither party is liked, the Republicans just happen to be a little less disliked right now.
The people don't want a big, over-bearing government.

Well, that's the crux of it right there. IF they go for culture wars **** again, you're probably right. But if they don't, if they just send a whole bunch of stalled legislation to the senate and actually get a few things done, the dems are in serious trouble come 2016.
