Don't buy cheese very often?

Only people with diarrhoea buy cheese by the pound!

One of the consequences of Brexit has been that Irish cheddar has departed UK supermarket shelves and the only cheese from Ireland you can now get is Jarlsberg, so we can no longer get the OG Norwegian Jarlsberg. Also Canadian cheddar has become unobtainium, and the vintage stuff was well nice.

My supermarket has a whole section of imported cheeses. I'll look for it.
Good luck if you're in or near Quebec, they didn't have any in the humongous Carrefour in Calais. You might have better luck finding Pietra, a very tasty Corsican beer brewed with chestnut flour.
