The right wing has been conflating these rights, to extend to other citizens, which they chide, for offering any opinions. And so, since the government is not allowed to have opinions on your insults and bearing false witness, opinions on the way things should be, you too, citizen, should keep your mouth shut about things that clearly affect you.

Now, if you have insults you just MUST divulge, there is little that can be done to stop you. But what you suffer as a result of YOUR choice, is on you. Those that act against you may even suffer as well for those actions, but to say I should not suffer any harm for my insults and attacks, is ludicrous. In fact, the right winger thinks the gov that they think should have no teeth, is called upon, to protect them as they issue insults and attacks.

The right wing even wants to strip us all of our right to free speech, and consumer choice. WE are told that market control is the proper control, till we on the left actually use that, and they are horrified.

A society that TRULY embraced the concept of no fault slander, would descend into chaos. The society that actually removed all norms, as the right wing wants, would have blood running in the streets.

So be proud, that you have standards. BE proud, that you hold folks to account for their speech and actions. IT IS YOUR PERFECT RIGHT.

OK, we (via our government) have created some "protected classes" to make that (bolded above) illegal and have expanded that considerably by use of the "cancel culture" however, if a black person calls a white person a racist, Karen or cracker then that (race based?) insult is not illegal or even likely to be subject to the (privately imposed) "cancel culture" since a member of a "protected class" would likely assert that they can't be fired for issuing their own (race based?) insults.

There is also a need for business owners, managers and employees to ensure that politics doesn't get in the way of business. Comments that businesses and their owners, managers and employees make in regards to politics, in most circumstances is simply unnecessary.
