That's true, but bribery in the 1780's is way closer to djt than today's definition.
In what way?

That's the spin you are going with now? Wholly **** that's pathetic.
He is correct again a jury of twelve said OJ is innocent so he is. He denies ever knowing the young lady in question and she recanted her story.
So if Obama was born in Indonesia or outside the US would it have been racist to point it out?
In what way?
Now that Congress has launched an impeachment investigation into President Trump’s effort to use the Ukrainian government to target a political rival, much ink has been spilled on the question of whether Trump’s actions amount to “high crimes and misdemeanors” for which he may be impeached. In analyzing the president’s conduct, some commentators have pointed to one of the two specific grounds for impeachment enumerated in the Constitution: bribery. Yet, by and large, those who have examined Trump’s efforts to put pressure on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as potential bribery have done so through the narrow lens of modern federal statutory criminal law.
But that is the wrong place to look when considering impeachment. In fact, the Founders had a broader conception of bribery than what’s in the criminal code. Their understanding was derived from English law, under which bribery was understood as an officeholder’s abuse of the power of an office to obtain a private benefit rather than for the public interest. This definition not only encompasses Trump’s conduct—it practically defines it.
OJ is most certainly innocent. He has no guilt for the murders of his ex wife and Ron Goldman. A jury of twelve determined that. Do I think he did it. Hell Yeah. But he is most certainly innocent of their murders. That show's its easy to find 12 morons in California. Did you know California voted overwhelmingly for Hillary Clinton.
Hi, Buddy. Hope all is well.
You realize that Alan Dooshawitz claims "he knows for a fact" that O.J. is innocent of murdering his ex and her companion? Also, the Doosh was a defender of Jeff Epstein and claims that although received a massage at Epstein's residence - "he kept his underwear on"?
Yep, 'ol Dooshawit is a pilar of the community alright
Have a nice day![]()
Eww so The Doosh likes underage girls, kinda like Trump!!
The Epstein saga is far from over, the guy had lots of high profile friends, including Trump. Prince Andrew has already been given his notice, and more than likely will have to give an interview. Oh we are just getting started!!
He's was one of Epstein's defenders, as was Kenneth Starr and trump's former labor secretary. So Doosh-a-wits lacks any moral character or credibility, IMO. I'm shocked people still take him seriously!
You made me laugh.
No they didn't. TDS must be a terrible burden.
Lurch, Lurch, Lurch *shakes head* its racist to assume that just because someone has doubt about where a person was born makes that person a racist. Not everything is about race. It maybe simply that they dislike Liberals and were seeking away to remove Obama from office. MUCH like saying Trump was a traitor and was Putin's puppet and wanting Trump impeached. Now I could accuse you of hating Orange people but in truth I suspect you just hate Trumps policies. A family member that has an inter racial marriage and for sure isn't a racist (she is black and even more conservative than me ) is the first person I ever heard talk about birtherism. I always accuse her of being to the right of John Birch. I told her to forget birtherism because it sounded like a hoax to me. So some people just hated the fact that Obama was the most liberal senator in the Senate in 2008. The fact that he happened to be black is just coincidence and was not important. The point is he wasn't. He was born in Hawaii. Claiming he wasn't in order to make racists feel better is racist. You know what else was racist? The tea-bagger movement. You know why? Because although we're still deficit spending a white guy is president now - and there are no more tea-bag rallies.
It appears that the problem, in this case, was that the Ukrainian president was not going to yield to Trump's (or anyone else's) demands. If the Ukrainian president caved to Trump's demands then he would piss off the congressional demorats such that he would be unlikely to get any future US aid. It was a choice of suffer some US aid delay now or pay a much higher price in the future. It is not unreasonable to expect that the Ukrainian president was advised (perhaps even by the WB or those working with him/her) of the fact that Trump was going to get spanked for his US foreign aid delay tactic and that he should just sit tight and remain silent on the matter.
Hey Lurch how are you doing? Answer me a question please. I have always been confused when people say birthers are being racist. Why is that? Why do you think it's racist to demand a president be a naturally born American?
Not according to the jury. If I was in trouble I sure as hell would prefer Alan Dershowitz in my corner than Napoletano. He is an excellent lawyer, he got two murderers off, Von Bulow and OJ. He has a knack for getting husbands off the hook for murdering their wives . If anything happens to Melania the Doosh is Trumps guy. And ya, both men were guilty!!

So now you are a General. Sure thing General Rommel.
How could you possibly know anything about reality. :lamoNo that's reality. The place where you don't reside.
It was Vindman he admits telling him not to get involved in US politics. That is probably illegal and definitely stepping out of the chain of command.
How could you possibly know anything about reality. :lamo
Maybe but Vindman's JOB is to advance the President's policies not to tell the Ukraine's to ignore the President.Which is very wise and sage advice for any country. But especially for country trying to fix it's corrupt political past. It can't really do that by engaging in a corrupt acts at the behest of the US President and his auxiliaries.
That attitude just proves you aren't based in reality. :lamoI know that it doesn't appear to exist in parts of Texas. :2wave:
