It has taken me awhile...but after this, I am feeling so disgusted I have decided to never watch FOX again.

"After Carter announced his cancer had spread, Fox News sent a negative tweet about his presidency, "Our country has not been as aimless & lost as it is today since, I think, Jimmy Carter." Taking the criticism ever further was conservative commentator Debbie Schlussel, who tweeted out "A cancer has a cancer. Oops, I mean Jimmy Carter has cancer. Same diff." Jimmy Carter announced on August 20 that his cancer had spread to his brain, and Fox News viewers rejoiced with pleasure on the network's Facebook page."

There is more than enough negativity and hatred in this world already...I'll pass on a double shot of nasty.

And I found Carter's joke about not having send a chopper rather strange. People died, but some in the audience were laughing when he made the statement.
Moral of the story, people say or do stupid things.

Will you be eschewing other MSM outlets for equally (and worse) comments by their employees, and comments from their viewers? I'm guessing, no.

Hmmm, I just visited the Facebook page you linked to, and lo and behold all I see are heartfelt condolences. Are we talking one or two rude comments? Probably leftist pot stirrers.

I don't know why anyone watches Fox News for their news anyway. It's too "entertainment television" for me. As for the two examples you mention, The tweet is not in the least offensive to me. The comment by Debbie-Destined-to-Die-in-Obscurity-Schussel is disgusting. She should be taken off the air.

However, when I want minute-by-minute coverage on breaking news? Fox is my go-to.

try the Fox Report the 6PM newscast.
It's good -really good. excellent foreign coverage, and since it's an hour more in depth. Of course it has the conservative panel discussion
but that's an interesting group too,

The rest of the network I don't watch

She is not an employee of Fox News. Her claim to fame, so-called, is as a blogger and political commentator. From what I read, I'm not even sure she SAID this on Fox News. What I'm reading is that she tweets it over and over again. A cancer has a cancer. Brainless bitch she is.

Ah, so this is more faux Fox outrage. I might've known.

Fox News, they do tell a story, don't they? Wanna peak at a woman's never region, KG's fake girls or the latest hair color or spray tan, tune in. Men are buttoned up, ladies are freezing their sparingly clad ass off. Sexist bunch that they are.
If you want the latest news, mute your TV and read the new stream. Or tune into local news.
If you want opinions and endless babble, watch FNC, MSNBC or CNN 24/7.

Your "Guess" would be incorrect. I have been viewing multiple news sources for years in order to form my opinions based on what I can gather as the truth. Fox has been an important tool in this as it provides the extreme right political perspective. This episode of nastiness however, has pushed mt to the point that I will use other sources rather than support or even look at such ignorant people ever again. Carter was certainly not a great President by any measure...but he seems a good man and WAS our President.

Compassionate Conservatism is a thing of the past, it no longer exists. Conservatism and much of the GOP nowadays is all about hate, fear, revenge, insults. See Donald Trump. People like Trump, Limbaugh, Hanity, Beck, etc. have dragged the conservative movement and many conservatives into the gutter with them.

I believe Carter was one of the worst Prez ever, but come on. Show a little class.

I don't have time to read all 2700 posts. How many of them were "Fox New viewers rejoicing with pleasure"?

Who's Debbie Schlussel? I don't see that she's an employee of Fox News. She's a lawyer who has been published in the New York Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Times and The Jerusalem Post.

Faux outrage. I'm calling BS, you likely never watched Fox.

I wouldn't wish cancer on my worst enemy, lost my son to the same type of cancer Carter has.

As it is clear you consider me to be a liar, and obviously know me better than I do....lets just assume you already know what lies I will tell next and avoid any further interaction.

"After Carter announced his cancer had spread, Fox News sent a negative tweet about his presidency"

I sounds like it was someone who sent the tweet, not Fox News. If Fox News has a Twitter account and sent this, the comment would be valid. No question Jimmy Carter was one of our worst presidents but he was always a gentleman and has done very positive things since he left office. At this point in his life, there is little point in criticizing him. I'm sure Fox management knows that. Don't blame a company for the comments made by someone who isn't speaking for the company. OP, as you stop watching Fox you should also consider stopping Twitter as well.

I haven't seen the "Fox News" tweet anywhere. Is there a screenshot of it?

I watch Fox occasionally. I have never seen anything about Carters illness that was anything but compassionate.

Having said that, I disagree with you about Carter in his post presidency. He was an anti-semitic shill for Hamas, Hezbola and the Palestinians. I certainly don't wish him pain and suffering and I'm sorry he won't pass quietly and pain free. He's 90, nobody lasts forever and I won't miss him.

What does Trump, Limbaugh, et al. have to do with what this random chick tweeted????????? :doh

I don't know, it's just not breaking news to me without wild speculation, stupid filler questions and holograms... that is why I choose CNN.

A commentator for the network is different than some random comment from the multitudes of pot stirrers (trolls) on the internet.

I would think for that comment, FOX HOPEFULLY will be showing her the door or at least formally reprimanding her. Freedom of speech allows her speech - but an employer does not have to accept this from a person who is "their voice"

And yes, if a MSM commentator or newsperson said such a thing.....I would be ALL OVER IT. And frankly, if it was someone on my own side - it would be worse.

NEWSMAX the only way to go. MSNBC and CBS and NBC and ABC and CNN are all Marxists and are as unbiased as Limbaugh is for the right.

Meh - this morning when my husband watched the news they gave their condolences and said things like 'regardless of your political views'. So clearly 'Fox News' and 'individuals on twitter' are different things.

So if an individual is a dick then an individual is a dick - don't see how that reflects negatively on the entire organization (etc).

Gee! And here I thought your preference for those things would cause you to agree with me. Ha!
