Watch this video contrasting Fox News' reactions to the exact same things, except that one was under Obama, the other under Trump. The level of hypocrisy is both shocking and humorous.

During the Obama administration, Obama floated the idea that he would be "open" to direct talks with N. Korea. Fox News commentators literally went into conniptions with outrage. They wanted pre-conditions. They wanted promises of full disarmament prior to any meetings. They were talking about how he was abandoning American values by wanting to talk to dictators and tyrants. They were telling us how this Muslim man was abandoning and betraying basic American values.

Then watch them beaming and glowing with pride with Trump doing all this, and telling us how incredibly clever he is, and how he thinks outside the box and does things in an unconventional manner, and that's why he "wins" all the time.

Unbelievable. Truly unbelievable.

And it shouldn't be lost on you that it's exactly the same on the flip side of the coin. They're all biased toward their political parties, not just Fox News.

Why do you think so many qualified journalists have left Fox News?

Even they now say openly that it's nothing but a propaganda machine.

If both sides are eating babies, don't you think we should examine the baby eating instead of excusing our side's infant consumption by pointing at the other side's baby buffet?

Cool. Now do CNN.

lol. not surprising to ex-foxies like me, though.

Cool. Now do CNN.

There is absolutely no equivalence.

That’s like saying that Obama once saying that if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor, and it turned out to occasionallynot be true, is exactly the same as a president who makes vicious, malignant lies with the deliberate intention of inciting dangerous levels of hatred and anger towards entire groups of people an average of six times a day for the last two years straight . .

Cool. Now do CNN.

Oh wait -- me, me. (waving hand) I'll do it.

Washington (CNN) -- President Obama wrote a personal letter to North Korean leader Kim Jong Il that a U.S. envoy delivered, a senior U.S. official said Wednesday.

..............
As Obama "has made it clear, the United States is prepared to work with allies [and] partners in the region to offer ... North Korea a different future," he said.

Bosworth also said he wanted to reaffirm the goal of "fully implementing" a September 2005 joint statement issued by the nations in the six-party talks, declaring that North Korea had "committed to abandoning all nuclear weapons and existing nuclear programs."
Obama wrote letter to N. Korean leader, official says - CNN.com

This one's pretty good too:

Obama also called on Myanmar to make more definitive moves toward democracy, including releasing all political prisoners; urged North Korea to return to the Six-Party Talks so that the reclusive nation could be reintegrated into the world stage and pledged America's support for eliminating nuclear weapons and efforts to reduce the global effects of climate change.
Obama vows renewed ties with Asia - CNN.com

You left out one:

https://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/n...exposed-two-faced-tweeter-diplomacy-dictators

CNN: Obama and Castro? Si! Trump and North Korean envoy Kim Yong Chol: Trump “is smiling next to a man who runs a gulag jailing some 200,000 North Koreans and who oversaw the sinking of a South Korean Navy ship killing 46 & the hacking of Sony North America.

So talking to a dictator is a historic blow against "division" when a Democrat president does it, but when Trump does it, it's granting respect to a mass-murdering gulag operator

Talk about a buried lede, though: CNN apparently now thinks that Pyongyang are the bad guys for a change.

Who said anything about excusing? I'm pointing out that both sides do it.

That's like saying a kid taking a cookie out of the cookie jar is the same as a bank heist. There is absolutely no equivalence. The right uses this absolutely ridiculous argument to excuse the most outrageous behavior.

They are absolutely equivalent. You don't think they are because of your own bias.

Notice how the same people who in other threads only go on about "the left" this and "the left" that are, in this thread, reverting to the both sides do it routine?

(And no, papers like NYT and WaPo don't do the same thing as Fox. NYT and WaPo might be biased left, but they do not do this ****).

Who said anything about excusing? I'm pointing out that both sides do it.

Which keeps exactly zero babies from being eaten.

Which is exactly what they want. Divide and Conquer. Sun Tsu, The Art of War.

Ever consider rejecting the tactic outright from any side?

Imagine a world where we held our side accountable instead of pointing out the other sides transgressions to EXCUSE our sides.

This isn't ****ing football.

Its all our lives and futures.

You don't seem to be getting it. I AM rejecting it outright from both sides.

Do you deny that all cable news networks are biased to the right and the left? They very clearly are.

That isn't what it sounds like.

It sounds like standard whataboutism.

Sorry if I misjudged.

You let your pre-conceived notions cloud what I was saying. You just assumed I was okay with it on one side and not the other instead of just reading what I was saying. You're not alone a lot of people here do that. Thanks for the apology.

Every media outlet has been biased since the days of the Founders. Back then it was newspapers that were either "anti-Jefferson" or "anti-Hamilton." Now it's TV channels.

It helps me to point out when my side does it.

Then it doesn't sound like I'm excusing my side by pointing out the other side.

Like I quit watching Marrow when I caught her cherry picking a speech to attribute a position to the speaker he was not espousing.

I do point it out -- all of the time. I refuse to watch Hannity because of that. Actually I don't watch any Fox News. I usually watch CNN when there is breaking news -- like right now.

You make a very valid and logical point.

But here's the thing.

The more Trump lies, and pisses you off, the more the Trumpholes love him.

As long as Trump is pissing down the legs of normal Americans and telling them it's raining, the stronger his support, from the people who's first priority in politics is to poke the bee-hive of the homos, libruls, moo-slums and messkins. They feed off the hate.

And when people voice their complaints against the Liar-in-Chief, using logic, reason, statistics and facts, eventually the Trumphole will turn the convo into a personal insult, inciting the anger they feed off of. So, in their mind, it makes them the winner. Trump be damned. It ain't about Trump. It's your anger and frustration they are thriving on.

I've noticed that casual contempt for trump and his ideas enraged his supporters. So that's what I go for.

Sprinkled with the intentionally outrageous so I get an opportunity to use their defense for when trump does it.

"Its just truthful hyperbole" Is a personal favorite.

I think we should keep the pressure up because there's only so long trump and the republicans can hide behind the human reluctance to admit we've been fooled. When that fails, the pendulum swings HARD.
