Fox News' Andrea Tantaros, who co-hosts "The Five," likened food stamps to a dieting technique during her appearance on Fox Business.
When host Stuart Varney asked her if she coud live off $133 to spend on food monthly, Tantaros replied, "I should try it because do you know how fabulous I’d look?"

Then don't take food stamps. I have no problem with them refusing food stamps and actually paying for things...themselves. Novel concept, huh?

Isn't this somewhat pro-liberal in the humor? They are joking saying that food stamp stipends are too low which is something I would think most Democrats may agree with.

Food stamps is abused though, we do need reforms on the program. One of the closest times I've ever come to verbally going off on a customer was when this scum of the earth bitch came to the pharmacy and screamed about why I couldn't charge her beer to her food stamps card, her reply was "well, I guess my baby ain't goin' to get any formula this month."

The fact of the matter is that they said "FOX" which seems to demand immediate derision no matter what is said. If someone on FOX said that they would buy ice cream for everyone on Tuesdays it would be taken as bashing fat people or something.

There are many legitimate criticisms of fox. A woman joking about her own weight is not one of them. If that is the best you can find, Fox is looking better and better all the time. And, so is Andrea.

Just like there are always dumb ****s who will dislike any cute kitten and puppy video, there will always be some form of abuse in any government program. The question is, how much abuse is there? Once that have been established, then it would be time to implement changes or completely shut the program down if the abuse is beyond the norm.
 
Seems like a pretty stupid comment; Whether the OP knows this or not, FOX doesn't hold the lionshare of stupid comments.

I have seen quite a few fat people pay for their food with food stamps, and then get in expensive cars after leaving the store. How do you explain that? Is that particular car theirs, or does it belong to a family friend? Or, are they pretending to be destitute to get those same food stamps? For that matter, during Hurricane Katrina, there were a lot of enormously fat destitute people left behind because they were either too poor to leave or had no way to leave New Orleans. There is something wrong with that picture. In America, especially New Orleans, are we to assume that if you are fat, you are on food stamps? Maybe food stamps are fattening.

While I think what she said is pretty stupid, I've seen more offensive things on "regular" media stations that don't warrant this kind of attention.

So, to sum it up, this woman said something stupid. If it makes people feel better to bash her, have it at. The station, like Fox, is there to make money just like all the other stations that have people on them that say stupid **** as well.
 
Right now many Conservative pundits are scrambling. They talked so much crap and made so many wild statements during the campaign and were so wrong on so many issues, that they have no idea whats going to work going forward.
Foxnews dropped Rove and Dick Morris for awhile...two poster boys for getting absolutely everything wrong about the election.
I never found this young lady to be unreasonable or wild...but she has become just that because she has a paid spot on fox...doesnt that kind of go with territory ? Fox news the media vehicle to the mass's for the right has to keep up the fascade that the poor and govt workers and seniors on medicare and social security are the true enemies of america and the cause for everything and anything that raises taxs or takes taxs from their rich.
Umm foxnews pay attention..there are Millions out of work cant find a job because your pigs outsourced their jobs out of greed, they who NEED foodstamps to feed the kids used to feed themselves with the job they had before BAIN type companies and corporate CEOs sent them to china for a bigger bonus...Id much rather my taxs go for food stamps than another yacht or vacation home for a pig....:)

My wife got thrown from a horse and broke her wrist. I took some time off to take care of her. She had me fix her hair, which I'm not good at. I also can't cook so I fixed her soup and baloney sandwiches. She lost weight on that diet and started looking pretty good. She told all her friends that I tried to starve her and made her look like Beavis and Butthead with what I did to her hair.
