Yes, compared to countries that have less problems, we have a bigger problem. Long as you pick the countries that have less problems. But those countries probably come with their own problems as well.

If you compare the US to all the world's countries, we're pretty squarely in the middle.

We used to be. Now we are a unique shit hole country, the kind you can become when you have all the resources in the world not to be one and yet still choose shithole status.

It doesn't matter. It's just a derogatory and can be applied to whatever country one wishes it seems.

Here in this thread, we have @Allan claiming the US can't be compared with 'shithole countries', while @The Brad Dad insists the comparison is entirely appropriate.

That's a good thought. It could only originate with someone who has little to no experience with military bases. Fort Stewart is a "post", btw.

While weapons are controlled on a military base, it would be completely disingenuous to claim they are gun free zones. There is armed security all over bases and most are not that large that they would be the size of a city trying to get law enforcement out. There is a relatively short response time.

And you know I've been in the military.
