This is why you don't trust the gun control/anti-2nd amendment side.People like him who piss bitch and moan how we don't have gun control laws like the countries that banned guns do want to ban guns and or enact other draconian gun control laws. Any body who supports elective abortion being legal would never praise the abortion laws of states and countries that banned elective abortion. People who support free speech would never praise the countries that banned free speech. People who support freedom of religion would never praise the countries that severely limited or banned religion.

Former President Barack Obama slammed America’s lack of gun control in a recent interview with CBS, claiming that the U.S. should respond to mass shootings by implementing gun laws like Australia, where there is no legal right to own a firearm.

When asked why America can’t emulate Australian gun control, Obama made no mention of the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution guaranteeing the right to bear arms, he merely claimed that gun rights have become an "ideological" and "partisan issue."

Is Australia a dictatorship?

No?

They are still very much a democracy?

Obama is absoutely right that gun worship has become an ideological fixture of the right.

Nor is owning guns even remotely equivalent to freedom of religion or freedom of speech.

shrug...

Even though Obama is the force behind the Biden pukes, his ranting about guns is irrelevant...unless the 2nd Amendment is removed.

This is just hot air from a past president who is now a talking potato head.

I've said this in many gun threads.

The political balance will change. And if the 2A worshippers don't figure out meaningful ways to reduce gun violence before that happens, it will be done for you. And the people that you thumbed your noses at will come after your guns.

The term "gun violence" lumps in suicides and murders together as though somehow they are the same. They are not the same. One is self inflict by the person willingly making that choice. The other is someone whose life is being taken away illegally by someone else. No one would every lump in Robin Williams is with someone who was murdered by someone using rope and call it "rope violence". People who use the term "gun violence" are dishonest pieces of shit. Because the term is used to confuse people who don't know any better into thinking 30 to 50 thousand people are murdered when in reality its only 15 to 20 thousand people murdered.

If enough pukes like Obama and Biden stack the courts then they won't have to change the 2nd amendment.

I am sure useful idiots in Germany, China,Soviet Union and other countries that massacred their own citizens said the same shit too.

Hmmmm, I wonder why...

When we look exclusively at high-income countries and territories with populations of 10 million or more, the US ranks first.

Somalia, a country with a large number of guns floating around in civilian hands, had its own genocide, which rather debunks your narrative.

Furthermore, the Nazis actually loosened German gun laws in some aspects, and Soviet gun laws fluctuated widely over the years.

When police or government comes to arrest you, waving your gun around will only ensure they shoot you, and as collateral, maybe your family too in the process. There is no way your guns are making you safer if Uncle Sam ever wanted to get you.

Is that a personal insult?

Just keep comforting yourself with your musings and don't do a thing. We'll see how that works out for you.

They've banned certain types of gun too after a mass shooter. Perish the thought that mass shooting would ever change US gun policy !

I'm with him. Guns are a public health crisis. Is this new to anybody?

Has frothing, irrational hatred of guns and attempt to frame the whole discussion as red vs blue, become an ideological fixture of the left?

"Nobody is coming after your guns; but do as we demand or we're coming after your guns."

Frothing, irrational fear of some fantasy dictatorship that is only deterred by people clinging to their precious toys had certainly become a fixture of the right.

The left, on the other hand, is rather sick of little kids being mown down over, and over, and over again while the right screeches gibberish about “communism“ and vows to violently resist gun laws they don’t personally agree with

I have to admit, I'm gonna laugh my ass off when the demographics shift so much that there actually is the will to go Full Australia, because that point nobody will have any reason to so much as consider compromising with you specifically because you have this approach of "I found this one guy saying something extreme, so that's what everyone who talks about gun control secretly wants, so we have to reject everything" crap.

How many more generations are gonna grow up supporting big gun rights as they watch you lot not give a flaming **** about all those fellow classmates they saw shot dead in elementary school?

Oh, please. This isn't about love of the constitution, which you may note was structured specifically to allow amendments when enough people change their mind. It's simply a combination of (1) "I love my toys," (2) "I don't give much of a shit as long as it's happening to someone else. Thoughts n' prayers whatevs K bye"

Somalia has 2,746,000 guns and a population of 13,048,000 people. 21% of the population having guns assuming 1 gun represents one owner is not a lot of guns. Probably most of that is what the warlords and their subordinates have, not the civilians.

No...you dont 'wonder why'. If you "wondered why" you would look at where the majority of the gun deaths and violence occurs...in the majority minority communities in the rat run cities that democrats control. Then you woulod have to ask why...what is the cause. Is it that the minorities that COMMIT the vast majority of gun violence are incapable of better, or is it because the circumstances they live in have created the environment that breeds gang violence and bloodshed.

At its worst...and no one is downplaying mass shootings...in our worst year for mass shootings there were 111 mass shooting homicide victims...and over 10,000 victims of day to day gun violence. Typically, there are under 30 victims of mass shootings in any given year...and over 10,000 victims of day to day gun violence. But the only time anti-gun leftists find it in them to crawl out from under their rocks and pretend to give a **** is when it involves a mass shootings...preferably committed by a white male, and with an AR.

No....you dont 'wonder' shit. You just embrace the empty headed anti gun rhetoric spewed by the left.

The Issaq had numerous armed militias.

It didn’t save them.
