Food stamp cuts. Get a job, you sack of crap freeloader.

They should have popped out of more affluent vaginas, too. Emerging from a poor vagina is a great way to get poor. It's like they weren't even trying from the beginning, right?

I know you are being sarcastic, but you words have some truth to them.

People who cannot afford to have children, should not. The entitlement mentality that other people should pay for their needs is unethical. There are situations where people lose resources as time goes by, but really. Society should not have to pay for other people's mistakes.

The attitude to have kids, knowing that the couple will be using government resources paid for by other tax payer, I find appalling, irresponsible, and reckless.

We don't necessarily need to change food stamp usage now, but change laws and use grandfather clauses. Let people know that having children while not being able to afford them without subsidies will no longer be tolerated.

Have the financial means before having a child, else be penalized some how.

Really? Cause it looks to me like a single mother with a 7 year old child who can't find work will have nothing to feed herself or that child when that child comes home from school. This is of course assuming that the child is able to eat at school which Conservatives are also trying to prevent.

News Flash for you too buddy: Nobody wants to live on Food Stamps. It's not a life of ****ing luxury. If finding work that could actually pay their bills were so simple they would do it.

Why is that my problem, as a tax payer?

The trade war is his fault. His two brain cells collided and sparked it out.

Our problem with free world trade is president Clinton's fault.

Yeah, we'll just starve the future poor kids. That's the ticket!

In have proposed this before.

You put out the condition in regulation. You tell people if they conceived when they were not in a financial situation to have kids and take government help, that both parents have their tubes tied so they can only do it once. No need to have multiple kids from the same parents being feed on the tax payers dime.

There is something inherently wrong with our system. In the federal government alone we've got 100 Senators fighting for money to help their states and we've got 435 Congresspersons fighting for money to help their districts. It is not logical to think that any of them, no matter what party they are (including Libertarian (if there were any)) would want to save the federal government money in anything in the areas they represent.

There is something inherently wrong, and it's rooted in the absolute power of the Republocrat Oligarchy. Once a party has no fear of loosing power, they can do as they like without repercussion.

Both parties are bad for us. We nee to clean both the house and senate, and place in people who actually care about our nation.

An interesting proposal. Can you see a couple horrible flaws in it?

Do you have a better solution?

We have an ever increasing debt and deficit. More and more people are using government subsidies over time. We cannot keep this up, or it will ruin our nation.

Again, do you have a better solution?

Sure. Don't stupidly cut food stamps or mutilate poor people.

Maybe if they were responsible enough not to have kids they couldn't afford...
You don’t get the scam? Walmart doesn’t want food stamp requirements changed. So their lobbyists pander to politicians so that they keep everything as is. That way Walmart can continue to reap the benefit of receiving those government SNAP dollars from their employees that they’re paying just the right wage for them to be eligible for SNAP. But every once in a while, just to keep up appearances Republican politicians hem and haw about how they’re going to strip and cut benefits from poor people.

Having one's tubes ties is a solid form of birth control. Calling it a mutilation is not apt.

You didn't offer a better solution. How do we stop this increased bleeding of money from the treasury, to social services?

I came from a poor vagina. We had less than the "poor" black, Hispanic or white families of today. We went on welfare for a week and got off because it was too embarrassing. We were hungry at times but my mom made food stretch and worked from sunup to sundown. She worked at a motel folding laundry for awhile.

What did being poor and hungry teach me? Strength, perseverance, tenacity, and the desire to not be poor when I grew up. Can you tell me what not ever being hungry or in need of something teaches a young person?

We don't. Also, we remove the paywall between the student and post secondary education / job training. Educated people generally have fewer kids and use less social services.

Snowflakes can't do such things.

I think the reason educated people have fewer children is because more of them end up in demanding careers.

All free higher education will do is make the minimum employment standards for places like Walmart and McDonald, of having a four year college degree.

It won't make a difference.

Personal responsibility is the answer. People need to be brought up with better moral standards of responsibility. Regulations may have to be put in place to push such responsibility.

the national debt is everyone's concern.

Yes, so why should it be my problem to pay taxes that other people get?

To reduce the deficit and eventually the debt, we need to dramatically reduce the spending on social subsidies.

the national debt is everyone's concern.

Agreed, but apparently not high enough on the list of concerns to prevent "borrow and spend" congress critters from being re-elected at a rate of over 90%.
