Flynn stopped military plan Turkey opposed – after being paid as its agent

Foreign agent like in NGOs in Russia? I have not really seen anything on Flynn other than lying that should disqualify him. What disturbs you? That he was successful at understanding how these countries work and was able to make money out of it? Personally, I think that that is a good type of knowledge and experience to have in an administration. This is especially true, where we know about it. So by all means get on with the investigation, but stop throwing muck to do political harm domestically.

A known danger is one you can use. If and as you say "if" Flynn was working with the Russians, he might have been a valuable asset for us. And we are in deep trouble, if a couple of "Russians bragged that their man was Flynn in the W.H" and we hysterically acted upon this "bragging" to dump him?

And yes. The Putin wants to undermine the US and the other democracies around the world along with the idea of enforced rule of law in the international theater. He had Gerasimov develop a Doctrine, the concept of non-linear war and actually ordered to start waging them. We have been effectively at war with Russia for a little over a decade now. That is part of the reason why I am so surprised at the hysteria. Didn't the country realize this?

The naivety of you Trumpers is astonishing. You think Flynn got that money for nothing in return. The way "those countries work" is they give you money and you sell out your country. It would be hilarious if it wan't so sad. The muck is all Trumps, he is the king of muck. When he's not grabbing ******s he's making more of it.

"those countries work"

Like accepting millions from one of "those countries" while you are Secretary of State, eh?

You are quite mistaken. I am quite the opposite of a "Trumper" and have continually been against him from the start. But, on the other hand, it is revealing that people would be so partisanly blinded as to have only that as an argument.
As to the consulting business, you seem to have similarly little of value to say.

What was unethical was lying about his activities. Sort of like Clinton.

I think we can both agree that both Presidents Clinton and Trump have glaring unethical aspects, but at least Clinton had the IQ above the level of a mentally-handicapped potato...

Absolutely. While Trump seems not to care enough to understand the issues, Clinton brilliantly thought he could outwit them.
But, of course, Flynn is not unintelligent. More the Clinton than the Trump handicap. Though, how one can expect to get by on a lie in that sharks ' BaFin is more than I can fathom.

Well, sure, he was dishonest but he also had an ACTUAL conflict of interest. He was being paid to serve both Turkey's interests and in public pretended that either Trump's interests or those of the U.S. were his priority. When the two conflicted, one had to win and the $530,000 creates an intolerable conflict, especially for someone trusted with THIS country's secrets but being paid by another country without disclosing that.

BTW, is there some rule that in every single thread about Trump or one of his incompetent or corrupt minions that it's a requirement to bring up BUT CLINTON!!!!? If not, what in the hell does she have to do with Flynn?

The decision to stop the operation was made on 10 January. Who was president on 10 January?

So you think we should have tried to turn Flynn into a double agent and leave him with access to all our most guarded secrets? Wow, what a bad idea. I think locking him up would be much more appropriate lest others in the military get similar offers from the Russians.

Regardless of who was President at the time, the operation was to take place when Trump was President and Flynn was asked to make the decision.

But...the Obama administration indexed the job.

Obama, who "gave Trump the final say....because the operation if it was a go would have mostly or entirely been carried out after inauguration."

Reading comprehension is your friend.

Why did Obama pass the buck?

Common sense can be your friend.

It appears the Obama was in this deeper than anyone.
