Way to go wingnuts. Celebrate that SCOTUS ruling which leads to more senseless death like this.

Thanks to Republicans in Florida refusing Medicaid expansion under Obamacare, which the federal government was willing to pay for, their hatred of the president just cost a nice lady named Charlene Dill her life. Charlene Dill wasn't a taker - she was one of the working poor with 3 kids to support and a heart condition. She took babysitting jobs, worked as a house cleaner, took odd jobs, and even recycled cans so she could feed her family, and spent her last day on earth working on commission selling vacuum cleaners and ended up dying on a stranger's floor. But thanks to the Supreme Court ruling allowing states like Florida where Republicans are in power to opt out of Medicaid expansion, even though it jeopardizes the health of millions of people, Florida's rejection of $51 billion which would cover people like Charlene Dill who work but don't make enough to qualify for Obamacare, knowingly allow its citizens to stay sick and even die for purely political reasons - just to stick it to Obama! Estimates put the possible annual death toll for residents of Florida due to this heartless and petty political partisanship as high as 2000 annually.

Umm...how did she die and how would Medicaid have saved her life? I don't understand why states didn't expand Medicaid either, but the dots aren't really connecting here. And surely one wouldn't suggest every premature death could have been prevented by Medicaid.

Surely you realize that no one with insurance ever dies... right?

Looks like her job of selling vacuums really sucked the life out of her.

Theoretically, Medicaid could have covered treatments that may have alleviated her heart condition. That's the best I got.

We'll never know since she wasn't under doctor's care due to lack of insurance, even though she had a documented heart condition. Florida Republican's refusal to accept federal funds to expand Medicaid most assuredly contributed to her demise.

Just another 'slam conservatives as being evil' hit piece.

I'm sure there are just as many 'slam liberals as being evil' hit pieces out there.

Neither is going to further any discussion, debate, conversation or greater understanding of the other.
So these hit pieces are all rather pointless and useless in the larger scheme of things, aren't they?

Whoa, wait a minute. There's no such thing as not making enough money to qualify for Obamacare. What's THAT about?

states didn't expand medicaid because it would put the state on the hook for millions of extra dollars. which means taxpayers are on the hook for millions more dollars.
The states that expanded medicaid will see how costly it is and complain that they need to raise taxes to pay for it.

It depends on her heart condition. she probably would have required major surgery not sure if medicaid would have covered.

So then the "right wing" didn't kill anyone?

Florida Republican's refusal to accept federal funds to expand Medicaid most assuredly contributed to her demise.
Most assuredly indicates evidence. What evidence do you have of this?

Bull. States didn't expand Medicaid because Republicans weren't going to do anything which might help Obamacare succeed.

The decision not to expand Medicaid was completely political and we both know it.

The states that expanded medicaid will see how costly it is
Yes, it'll be awful to have the federal government pick up only 90% of the tab to insure millions of people.

It's a sad state in this country when people have become so selfish they care more about MAYBE paying a few extra dollars in taxes than the health and well-being of others. You literally just argued the states having to pay 10% of the Medicaid expansion three years from now was to great a financial burden to make sure millions of people can be healthy.

Really?

How mature. Yes. That just wins this debate right over.

No it costs taxpayers to pick up that 90% or do you forget where the federal government is getting that money from? :doh

why is it selfish to keep more of the money that i earn? why do you feel that someone else deserves the money that i work for?
I have finincial obligations as well. I have to pay for my own healthcare why don't i get federal assistance? i pay taxes i should qualify for subsidies and everything else as well.

yep that 10% along with the additional people that sign up will cost tax payers millions of dollars more than what they pay now.
i am glad my state chose not burden us taxpayers with more money.

There is a pay gap in obamacare because the law was dependant on all states expanding medicare up to 130%. if you are single and make less than 10k a year then you don't
qualify for a subsidy and if your state didn't expand you probably make to much for medicaid.

it depends on your state. this women with 3 kids would have qualified for medicaid so something doesn't seem correct.

Except, well...conservatives really are evil. And a bit dumb, since they fall for shiny objects like Benghazi or Obama's Muslim name while ignoring the health and welfare of millions of their own neighbors.

 For someone who almost always slams the ACA, you certainly do seem to lack a lot of knowledge on how it works. Did you ever stop to think the two may be connected?

First off, medical treatment should be a utility, not a commodity. The government regulates, natural gas, electricity and water, but not the vital services that keep people alive. That's whacked.

Second--have you ever added up your entire healthcare cost? Insurance premiums, deductible, and out of pocket co-pay can easily add up to $20K for a family. So, the real question should be can we lower that cost by regulating it or creating a tax-based socialized system like Canada and Europe?

Funny how family values conservatives are laughing at the death of a mother.....

Sometimes Old Fart really nails it. This is one of those times.

Calamity. You obviously know nothing about my position on the ACA. Why would you pretend that you do?

Sell you computer, cancel your internet access and use the money saved to pay for you neighbors 'health and welfare'.
Don't whine about other's lack of charity when you show none of your own.

Yes. And represent juvenile thinking too.

I've seen plenty of your anti-ACA posts.
