The Florida man who allegedly ambushed and killed two Kissimmee police officers Friday night is a self-professed member of a black extremist group who appears to have been upset by last week’s events in Charlottesville, Va.

Move along, nothing to see here, there are more Confederate statues to remove and desecrate. Still waiting for Rubio and others to step up to the plate and UNEQUIVOCALLY denounce the murders of these officers. Oh,yeah, he and the rest of those opportunists are still engaged in that pissing contest over who’s better at virtue signaling over Trump not going “far enough “ in denouncing White hate

I was making fun of the second post.

We are a nation of laws or not. I dont care about motivations beyond root cause analysis. In my view.. adding hate crime law is ridiculous. In my view ..destructive behavior is not tolerable in the USA..period.

"Police arrested a 22-year-old activist who helped tear down a Confederate statue in North Carolina on Monday – following the deadly car attack at a rally of white nationalists and white supremacists in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Authorities said Takiyah Thompson tied a rope around the neck of a statue of an armed Confederate soldier before she, along with a cheering crowd, pulled it to the ground, CBS News reports.

She was arrested on Tuesday and has been charged with disorderly conduct by injury to a statue, damage to real property, felony participation in riot with property damage in excess of $1,500 and felony inciting others to riot."



This arrest is a win for law and order to me. Throw the book at the cop killer as well and investigate his associates to the fullest extent of the law.

Weimer, Fields’s high-school teacher, told the Associated Press that Fields had confided having been diagnosed with schizophrenia.

I never claimed any such thing. You're the one claiming it's about race, not me.
 

There's very little our system can do to force people to get mental health help. I think they have three-day holds if the person requesting has good reason the their estimation. I've seen it happen from domestic disturbance calls, for example. I don't think schizophrenics tend to be violent. The only two I've ever know, when they either stopped their medicine or it ceased working, was to hide from aliens behind dumpsters.

And what I mentioned just now is a sad reality for people being medicated for mental illness. Far too many of them stop their medicine. Some because they think they're cured. Others simply noncompliant. And for other poor souls, the medicine that has stabilized them for months suddenly stops working.

The sad truth for these tortured souls. We should be able to do more...
